מעבר לכך. הסרט הזה מגוחך ולא ריאליסטי. אושרי כהן ה''טען'' לא טוען פגז אחד כל הסרט. איתי טיראן ןמפקד הטנק לא נתן אף פקודה כל הסרט רק בוכה

I'd like to see this movie because I am interested in Israeli cinema and love the work of some Israeli film-makers. However, the idea of making a movie about the invasion of Lebanon from the point of view of the invaders seems almost as fruitless as making a movie about the US invasion of Vietnam from the point of view of the US Army. There is a bunch of American movies about the Vietnam war, and how many are any good? Two, perhaps three? But Israel is now in a similar position.

It has been said many times, the movie is not political at all. The movie is about few teenagers who were somehow thrown into war they never wanted to be in, a war no one wanted to be in.
You wont hear the Israeli side, you will just hear the story of every soldier in the wars that were and the wars that unfortunately will be.

I'd like to see this movie because I am interested in Israeli cinema and love the work of some Israeli film-makers. However, the idea of making a movie about the invasion of Lebanon from the point of view of the invaders seems almost as fruitless as making a movie about the US invasion of Vietnam from the point of view of the US Army. There is a bunch of American movies about the Vietnam war, and how many are any good? Two, perhaps three? But Israel is now in a similar position.

The IDF if no more savage than the Americans in Iraq, the Canadians in Afghanastan (yes the CDNS fight and die daily in Afghanastan) or the French in Africa. War is ugly and brutal, but a Jew has everyright to be as effective and lethal as any other force.

The haters hate the Jews/Isrealis because of the nature of freedom and democracy, as evident from a country where a film like this can be made. No terrorist dictatorship state IE Every Muslim nation - would ever allow a film to question/comment on anything. (The filmaker would be stoned to death.)Never mind a war. Egypt still to this day, celebrates the 1973 Yom Kippur war as a victory - when it was a massive miliatry failure. Tragic.

Israel is a good example how terrorists can get their own country. The Ben Gurion gang wanted their imaginary state, Israel, and they got it. The locals want their land back, they are now called terrorists. If they win, they will be called freedom fighters and heroic patriots. Politics is a dirty business. When you're inside a modern tank, you're a legitimate soldier, doing your duty, killing people. If you're outside, throwing rocks at that tank, you're not even human. Do you think it's fair?

I have no idea what the politics of this film are (hopefully it is honest about the moral and political ambiguities - on both sides - of the invasion), but it looks fascinating. I look forward to seeing an English-subtitled version of the trailer.
