Cool dinosaur video. Anyone got wind that the Founder of Prehistoric Channel has written his first thriller book. THE ICE GORILLA. I read that movie producers are trying to turn THE ICE GORILLA book into a movie. I'd love to see Jurassic Park IV and THE ICE GORILLA in movie theaters.
This is the second time nigel has seen a Giganotosaurus in a tv program :) It looked better in chased by diinosaurs but this one looked like a 20m long baby t rex lol
Dinosaurs weren't blind, didn't matter if you don't move, they still could see you. Another piece of imaginary Jurassic Park crap copied by Primeval. Speilberg assumed that since crocodile vision is movement-based, so is T. rex vision. But even crocs CAN see you if you stay still. They just have less strike accuracy (i.e. they might miss you if they bite, but that's not likely). And dinosaur eye socket structure is much more complex than croc eyes.
@susumu07 Studies of the Tyrannosaurus brain indicate that its senses of sight and smell were excellent. In addition, the fact that T. rex's eyes faced forward raises the possibility that it had stereoscopic vision. The advantage of stereopsis is that it enables a predator to "break" or see through camouflage, hence detect even stationary prey. Even without stereopsis, I don't think T. rex had a problem with prey which attempted to avoid detection by standing still.
@susumu07 Continuing.. All of its probable prey was too big to avoid detection like a lizard. Apparent means of surviving predation don't suggest standing still. Hadrosaurs were adapted to flee while ceratopsids and ankylosaurs were armed to fight.There's no doubt, btw, that T. rex was a predator not a scavenger. But we simply don't know. It is difficult to figure out behavior from bones. Many predators rely largely on movement to detect prey. So you could be right and I could be wrong.
@XtremePokemonKillers Tyrannosaurus Rex was not built for speed. It only killed, and took food from the dead dinos. Thease Giganotosaurus animtaions rules! They used it in Walking with Dinosaurs! Did you know that?

@Maring0418 I think I agree. Why would it need to be fast? It's prey were incredibly slow too. It only needed to be faster than it's prey. Although, again. We will never know for sure. I keep an open mind when it comes to dino behaviour ^_^
It's really the whole speculation element of dinosaurs that makes them so interesting! if we knew everything about them, our imaginations would no longer be able to run free on what they were capible of!
@susumu07 Giganotosaurus didn't have a good field of vision for predator, it couldn't see directly infront of it, a blind spot. Abby must have been assuming Connor was in the blindspot, and if he moved, he would go back into its field of vision.
Nigel is from Prehistoric Park and doesn't get eaten by a T-Rex yet on Primeval, its the other way around, he gets eaten by the G-Rex
