  • Four people are Bravestarr fans.

  • The UK band FM (singer Steve Overland) wrote and performed 2 Galaxy Ranger songs - "Rangers Are Forever" (which was occasionally used as an alternative end theme, and "Out Beyond The Stars" which was included in one episode. FM did not perform the Galaxy Rangers main theme "No Guts, No Glory"

  • hulu has the full series hulu.com

  • This is practically the best music Galaxy Rangers they have!

But the where's is the full version of this musical delight?!?!

  • I just can't get enough of this song !

  • Even after all these years the song still rocks!

  • Watched this on WPHL Channel 17 in Philadelphia back in the day. Couldn't wait to get home after school to watch this.

  • rather watch reruns of these compare to the trash on cartoonnetwork today

  • coole serie

  • FM - why did they not make it big? Saw them in concert twice

search for "That Girl FM" for more

  • Besser gehts nicht...80´s Rock forever!!!

  • @aramis2206 Auf jeden Fall

  • Who the hell put a thumbs down for this? They must have not been born during the 80's.

  • this song was 1 of the reasons i watched this toon. thanx 4 posting!!!!!!!!!

  • I liked this song better than the opening theme for Galaxy Rangers.

  • @Superthug203 Agreed.

  • Pure 80's rock n roll

  • it's on hulu now actually

  • theme songs were the ish back in the day

  • theme songs were the ish back in the ay

  • Where have the good ole days gone?

  • Magnific, is magnific.

  • RANGERS ARE FOREVER!

  • If this was a full song, it wouldn't just be a cartoon jingle, it would be a classic.

  • @royalcityman Yeah, I totally forgot about this show, but once I heard Rangers are Forever it all came rushing back. What a great song.

  • BEST F*CKIN CARTOON SONG EVER !!!! this was myyyyy sh*t.....

@ aimbotjesus - datz some funny sh*t lol

  • Amazing. The quality of this show surpasses whatever we had in the past 20 years. I still get chills from hearing this ending. Definitely a classic anime styled show with killer animation and strong music. Rangers are forever!

  • @yournotjohn It was a very solid series, and would hold up very well should anyone dare to make a movie or live action series. I wonder what it would take to get this considered. If Transformers and GI Joe could get movies, after all...

  • I remember watching this on WPIX Ch. 11 in New York City weekday afternoons at 4:30! This was one of the more higher quality 80s animated series, animated in Japan, high quality music/sound, and even well known sci-fi writers handling the storylines. As everyone before me said, it is sad that there will never be such hi-caliber animated shows on TV again, afterschool TV and great cartoons passed away in 1990.

  • what are the lyrics after the guy sings Rangers are forever. For the life of me I cant figure them out and Ive looked it up online and all they list them as [Verbing in or Verbing] what the hell are they singing its killing me

  • @loserhero1982 "were;everything when duty calls, better than a shooting star"

    YEAH! Rangers are forever.

  • @blackshogun77 THANK YOU!

  • haha the music is really grand scale I mean that alone inspires me to write some awesome fantasy

  • I really miss the 80s cartoons. You know, we, in Indonesia, on 1987 till about mid-1988, had this GR every Monday afternoon. Then we had He Man on Thursday, Silver Hawk on Wednesday. I forget the one we had on Tuesday, but I remember we had Ghosbuster on Friday and Cosby Show on Saturday. At that time, there was only one TV Station in Indonesia, but they really knew how to give us the kids some joy.

  • Can anyone shed light for me as to which episodes did they start using this alternate ending?

  • Sponge, thanks for posting this. I always had another song in my head from GR that I thought was played at the end of the show. However, when I went to buy a DVD of this show it was not there. I finally get to hear it again and prove to myself that i'm not going crazy LOL!

  • @gmwforce1972 Get the box sets, this version starts showing up around episode 30 or so.

  • 80s forever baby.. YA HEAR ME!

  • Awesome Theme!!! One of my favorite childhood songs.

  • I find it almost sad that my kids won't have the intensely fond memories I have from my childhood cartoons. 25 years later and I still remember these songs and search for little glimpses on youtube.

Somehow I doubt 25 years after my kids childhood will they be looking up Chowder and the Ooglies. Cartoons suck so bad nowadays its almost ridiculous. Nothing that sparks imagination (and the need to use it), instills a sense of right and wrong, tells a story of good Vs evil.

    80s forever

  • @misterRDF The main for this is because it is all about money. Cartoons don't make a lot of money so they don't get made and the only ones that do make it are cheap to make and stupid. I saw this starting to happen in the early 90's. Now Saturday morining cartoons are down to 1 station that shows reruns of old shows that came out years ago. I really feel sorry for them.

  • @misterRDF I've hooked my niece, and have been circulating the tapes to Browncoats who miss a little Western with their sci-fi. Some of the episodes do not hold up, but the solid ones like "Scarecrow" and "Psychocrypt" are on par with one-hour shows.

GI Joe and Transformers got movies. Wouldn't it be cool if...

  • best end theme ever! dot :>

  • @Memph81 Couldn't agree more. The only ending that comes even remotely close is the closing for Jayce and the Wheel Warriors

  • YES

  • Rangers are forever!

  • forever...

  • song is so cool!

  • Oh my gosh! I haven't heard this song for many year.. Galaxy rangers forever baby...

  • I'd give anything to have these cartoons back. Why are the shows so goddamn lame now?

  • @NepperCat

    cuz kids are dumber XD

  • @NepperCat nepper, the 80's tied product promotion to cartoons and we 80's kids responded to that type of promotion. When peopel started buying stuff out of atalogs and cut out toy store chains, media companies decided to stop producing kids cartoons. Add to that, real actors wanted work and wanted the cartoon revolution to be stopped, parent teacher watch dog groups complaining aobut violence in cartoons, and the popularity of Cartoon network, (willing to show these cartoons 24hr a day)

  • @blackshogun77 Trueness but Cartoon Network dosent even run anything near this cool. They need like another retro-toon network since even Boomerang is starting to crack at the seams by playing Cartoon Network castaways.

  • @NepperCat Live action movie. With a solid cast, some decent writers, and please keep M. Night Shyamalan away from it. He really screwed up Airbender.

  • @NepperCat nerf ball generation, a side effect of the far left and the far right (looking at you republican/democrat extremists) realizing that only by working together could religious fundamentalism and neoliberalism combine to form a nerf ball generation which will eventually cause america to fail (hah, eventually, look around).

  • @NepperCat ......gotta get into japanimation....berserk....trigun...cowboy beebop..outlaw star..robotech...starblazers...capt harlock.......and when dc comics animates one of thier storylines into an animated movie...marvel does it too..but they have to work on thier animation..keep improving it..like dc does

  • @1942PANTHERV I like the DC movies but, it would really help if they stopped leaning so heavily on Batman and Superman. I wish they'd just go ahead and do the Titans movie they keep putting on hold.

  • @NepperCat Just imagine Spongebob fighting against the Queen... Those actual cartoons are SO LAME!

  • @NepperCat

Dude, those back then are just as lame as anything now. It's all fantasy. You actually have to go back to the sixties - Johnny Quest, CMDF, and that ilk - to get any kind of SF-ness, and not totally dorky situations. Oh, and the bad guy always died at the end of Johnny Quest.

  • @aculturemind Galaxy Rangers wasnt as mainstream as say He-Man so it wasnt enforced to have little lame 'daily lessons' tacked on to every show, it kind of stood out thats why its a cult classic now. onny Quest and Speed Racer were always awesome because people died. I'm a huge Johnny Quest fan, if not for the animation alone.

  • @NepperCat So that is why the show was awesome...

  • @NepperCat Not so surprisingly, some of the better GR fanfic writers also write fanfic for JQ: The Real Adventures, including one who goes by "Lady Niko"

  • @Allronix Jonny Quest: The Real Adventures...one of the first shows to get screwed by Cartoon Network, then JLU, Secret Saturdays and a few others. Now they're trying it with the phenominal Young Justice.

  • I loved this ending to the show.

  • This and Saber Raider were the best ThemeSongs every as i was a child!

  • YES

  • about RPM! Nah- I knew since Ziggy's adventures with Tenya 7 whistle call and Dillion watch bit but I didn't want my hope down since it might be different... reminded me of Sailor Moon w. Tux Mask... so since this is based on Japanese Sentai and so similiar to in "Space" I didn't want my hopes down til the villians accidentally slips the info... so last Saturday was the words that I was waiting for... Tenya 7 and Dillion similiar build... she has to wear the visor outdoors, etc...

  • Love this theme.

  • oh thank you so much for uploading

  • If there is an animated series from the 80s that deserves to be brought back and redone...it would be this one.

I remember watching this and Robotech back to back before I went to school.

  • Sounds like Journey xD

  • The 80's cartoons were awesome, the 90's cartoons were okay, but the 2000's cartoons? With exception of notables like Dragonball/Dragonball Z, everything else is just a bunch of crap.

It must really suck to be a 7-12 year old boy right now. :(

  • Actually Dragonball and DBZ comes from 80´s. Personally I do not like those.

But I agree with you, today we have only crap. By the way, "Avatar, the last airbander" is a nice production but it is still far away from what we had in 80´s...

  • It took a decade to bring the Dragonball/Dragonball Z franchise to the US. The problem was some scenes were too suggestive and violent to be suitable for children. Lupid the III took over THREE DECADES to bring it to the states.

  • Hmm. You must think, that today's Kids only know about the Cartoons/Animes brought out today and they never saw such good cartoons as the Generation 20+

  • The 80s were the best I agree but the Powerpuff girls, Samurai Jack and Dexters Labratory certainly made the 90s pleasant for me

  • Don't forget Johnny Bravo too!

  • I wish I could find, like, a 3 or 4 minute version of this. If it's on youtube, let me know PLEASE?

  • OMG, how or why do you have this?! I've been wanting to hear this song for years. I just had a faint memory of it from when I was a kid. THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS!!!

  • Great song, thank you for uploading.

    Rangers are forever!

  • Some of Phil Galdstone's earliest work. (Just after Ghost busters)He went on to write for Celine DIon,Whitney Huston,Vanessa Williams and many others.

  • Cartoons from the 80s are much better than todays crap, some of the messages after every episode were a bit brave but all of them were helpful...

Todays cartoons have the IQ of a leaf of Toast...

  • I dont know todays toons at this age range are more witty i would say with slightly more mature plots.

  • FM, dudes. This band was awesome.

  • good ol' times....

  • Long live the 80's with their perfect cartoons and their wonderful themes. A much better time for any cartoon watching kid compared to todays junk.

  • @adamweishaupt81 I hooked my niece. Her mom refused to let her watch stuff like Ren and Stimpy and Cartoon Network's "cartoon cartoon" lineup, so I hooked up with the 80's stuff I had.

  • This show is created by "Gaylord Production Co."

And if you watch the show its also in "Koch Vision"

    haha

  • Hammer Track supi

  • awesome song

  • Awesome song. This and "No Guts no Glory" both rock.

  • Actually series have not as good soundtrack as before.

  • Seriously, this show needs a soundtrack so badly.

  • Is this song edited? Is it longer? At 48 seconds u can here like they cut it or something. Love this song!!

  • I have this WHOLE series on DVD for sale. $50 per set. I had a bitch of a time to find it.

  • OMG!!! I LOVED this show when I was a kid!!!!

  • I totally agree!!! LOL!!

  • I love this song!!! Much prefer it than No guts no glory.

  • ever notice how the baseline sounds like Dio's Rainbow in the dark?

  • galaxy rangers had a great soundtrack.

  • If someone can make a cover; I'd pay them thousands. I'm serious.

  • heh, reminds me of being a kid...thanks for posting.

  • if I hear one more person say that firefly was the first 'space cowboy' tv show i'm going to kill someone. thank you for posting this, you rock.

  • @Headphonemike Dude, if it weren't for GR & Saber Rider, I wouldn't have bothered watching Firefly.

  • @Allronix I suddenly want to check out saber rider. I remember a commercial for it vaguely. I couldn't have been more then 2 or 3

  • I much prefer "No Guts, No Glory"

  • I prefer this song to the other. This is the one I remember from seeing the show.

  • Yeah, Rangers are forever. Great catchy tune. Where's this spirit of the 80's gone?

  • adamweishaupt81, right in the fucking toilet man.

  • i love this song, but you just know the singers have long-ass hair :D

  • I have this whole series on dvd boxset if anyone wants. just email me for info

  • where did you get it?

  • omg!! you found the song online????could you post the site to download it PLEASE!!!!thxs!!

  • Try downloading LimeWire; that's where I found the song.

  • What version of Limewire do you have? I tried searching for the song but no luck.

  • I have the 4.16.6 version of Limewire. It takes time finding the song; you may have to put in Galaxy Rangers, No Guts No Glory, or Galaxy Rangers theme to find the song.

  • fantastic! very thanks from Brazil! :)

  • I´am so happy i´ve got the DVD-Boxset of this ^^

  • This was one of the good cartoons over looked by the idiot crowd,It could have spawned it's shared universe, but I guess the idiot didn't watch it.

  • Actually, the series folded because a promise toy deal never materialized. So the second and following seasons were never produced. Blame the people upstairs. The series was excellent.

  • Exactly it could have had a star wars type universe created i would LOVE to see a live action feature length movie of this cartoon!!!!!

  • That is not at all a bad idea... Hrm, make it a little more serious, take out the silliest aliens, focus on the character personalities and history. I could really see a live-action movie.

  • Thank you. Thank you. Thanks again.

I thought maybe I was crazy for remembering this theme since just about every other vid/clip has the original end song.

Youtube has proven time and time again to be the mecca for nostalic bastards like myself.

  • I would like to know that too!! Gotta have it!

  • I found these songs online... I downloaded them & have them on CD! :-)

  • Where did you find them online? I would like to get them on my ipod.

  • Where??

  • Sensacional o encerramento dos Galaxy Rangers.

  • Take a closer look at the description,

    Music: Rangers are forever

    Singer: Steven Overland

    Band Name: FM

Many people have sent me messages concerning the band name and the singer, so I decided to name them in the description.

  • @spongebob223 The British band?

  • still love this music, rangers rock!! who did the soundtrack for the show???

  • Buddy! I can't thank you enough for posting this and the description! I've been looking for the name of the band since I discovered youtube :p

    c'ya'll

  • this rocks

  • old school memeories!!

  • two words: great song!!!!! from this awesome anime

    old school rulez!!!!

  • Sadly, there´s no full records of both songs ('Rangers are forever' and 'no guts no glory')...

  • Man this bring back memories.

  • i think this song will be great with a danny phantom video.

  • Ah, sweet 80s memories! I used to watch Galaxy Rangers religiously and my favorite bits were the great intro/ending. One day, they played this song at the end instead and I went nuts! Just as great as the usual one. Damn, I'd love to get a CD of this soundtrack!

  • I felt the same way when I first heard the alternate ending. But that was back when cartoons had good theme songs.

  • They should have made the DVD sooner.

  • I GOTTA have that soundtrack! :D
