  • @Jayowen89 I believ they're about a min each, but the warm up is like 15 min and that's a wkout in itself. They d differ based on the wkout some are 30 sec.

  • hello. Thanks for subscribing to my channel. You have some nice vids. :-) I love the quality of them. I'm still kinda new at it and probably could upgrade if I decide to continue to do stuff like this. I agree with you: they could have done more in that recovery week and it does get boring. Like I said in the vid, I'll probably start all over soon. :-) I'll keep checkin you out. I also like your effects in your vids, too.

  • @Insanity4mereviews Thanx, I wish they had done more, but that's cool. I guess they wanna make it kinda kickback, so u get a lil break. Only thing is the lil break does nothing to prepare u for Max month, it really was a major shock.

  • RECOVERY WEEK answer: The reason why the recovery week is place is because if a person is doing insanity as prescribed (6 days per week), the body needs something that still has the intensity, but not as much jumping, ploys, etc. Remember, even before Shaun T gets to that full recovery week, there's a recovery DAY (every Thursday) in month 1. The recovery week has: lots of stretching for longer periods, more core work without the jumping (you're still sweating, trust me). You will feel the burn.

  • @Insanity4mereviews This is my 2nd round of Insanity and I still don't get it. I feel they could hav done more with that week. Really it bores me to death, I mean the same wkout for six days, lol. This current round I do it 3 days and run the other three days. I do what wks.

  • @angienicholas Yea, mines is tripping, lol. Yea I went over one vid already. That was the first week I did the meals for five days. Later found it boring to eat the same thing for 5 days straight, lol.

  • I don't think you have to re-program your hrm until you lose a few more lbs. I think you should do at least 4 days (recovery program) if you want to be done in 60 days. I am glad to see some sensible numbers on calories burned...I think that the 1000+ that some are reporting is a little extreme. I know they weigh more, but that seems a little rediculous.

  • @cotaman08 I know, *I was thinking those burning 1000+, wow, they must be really doing the damn thing. Yea, I wasn't sure if I should change it or not. I'm leaning more towards doing the recovery. Thanx.

  • I think that the HRM isn't accurate at all you should at least be burning 500 cals or more... I'm using a polar HRM and i burn in average like 700 up to 800 cals doing a insanity work out lady... My weight is 135.4 lbs and my body fat % is 18.3%... Congrats on finishing week 1 on insanity..

  • @Chemchoumi Yea, I hav no idea, gonna go to the gym when I'm free again and use it while on the trademill, see if there's a diff. Today I ran 6 miles, it said I burned 540 cal, that sounds about right or atleast closer. Thanx girl.

Well anyways.. as long as you are getting your excersise in and sticking to the healthy eating plan you should be fine isn't it... Pretty excited as well for your diet (preparing meals) vid..

  • I cant wait to see you with a six pack.... The HR monitor I may be wrong but the pounds has to do with calories burnt... If your not too worried about being too exact with that then I wouldnt worry about it....

  • P90X has recovery weeks. I think it is just something along that type of thing, where your body may need something different.

  • I always change the weight on my heart rate monitor so I can get an accurate reading. The recovery week is is to be used as a no or low cardio week to prepare you for the month 2 workouts.

  • O-M-G! I just finished doing the plyometric workout of P90X-day 2, and it kicked my butt! However, I finished it, and I'm glad it's over! Great job with your first week of Insanity! I'll keep you posted...

  • Shanell, the recovery week is the calm before the storm, so to speak. You basically spend all week doing the Core, Cardio and Balance. It's a nice workout then you're right back digging deeper with Max Intervals. Those who have the deluxe edition substitute the sports intervals for the CCB.

    Sometimes those chest HRM can give crazy readings. I have a polar and it irritates me sometimes that I go back to my Mio, which is a write HRM (no chest strap).
