First why would they have to use pesticide in a logging operation? Compared to the chemicals that they use in the cotton industry, I cannot imagine logging chemicals being any worse.

Secondly, obviously whoever cut the trees down had the right to cut them down. My guess is thats how the local people make money, logging. Last time I checked trees don't seem to be endangered.

The pesticides are so toxic to the soil that the Cotton want grow again in the same field unless the peanuts plants cleanse the soil. pesticides are toxic causing cancer and physical deformation. Actually a large majority of Old growth or second growth Trees in the PNW Make it to the Weyerhaeuser's pulp factory before they make it into a house. Lumber IS NOT the best resource for building Homes, not even comparable to today sustainable technology. what could we really do if Building Codes let Energy Efficient and sustainable developers actually use their knowledge and skill to better humanity.
