My dad was Dorothy Faye's Mother's insurance salesman back in the early 1980's in Bascom Florida, where she is from originally. Dad said her mother's house was laden with tons of pictures of Dorothy Faye as a Child and in her movie career. Too bad my father didn't meet Dorothy Faye.

very true. unfortunately, the book this was based on is amazing, but the writing should've been altered a bit more for the screenplay. Some things work well in books that just sound crappy on screen, so I agree that the writing here could've been better. I must admit I'm a bit surprised that Dunaway didn't speak up about the writing and change some of it lol :)
