I love them both, but just because Alissa and Sasha are levelheaded about it all doesn't mean they didn't choke.

Tara and Sarah didn't choke and won without any help by skating like champions when it mattered most.
Truly one of the best short programs of her entire career. Not her best performance here of course, but a truly magnificent program and I am always impressed with how she lived the music.
skating reminds me so much of the past, when i was young, i agree with most people on here. you rarely ever see this stuff on tv anymore...i miss cuz well its just so entertaining in a beautiful way..remindds me of the 90's when i was really young.
sorry forgot to mention that I also like her very nicely timed spirals as they are perfectly choreographed to the right note of music! another move I like is how she lifts her legs up on her toe pick but it's a pity that she never did that same move again (at least not that I know of) in other programs.
i also like her moves in these segments - 0:54-0:58, 1:23-1:29, her footwork, and her final move. The program is not flawless though, and could be better if she could have landed her double axel nicely, have a better leg position in her layback, and have higher difficulty spins (although I like how centered she is in her spins!). Overall I think it's a top notch program!
i love the music and the program, and how Michelle attacks the program and expresses herself in a very different manner compared to her programs before 1999. Some of the moves I like include how she raises both her arms after the first spiral, how she expresses after her double axle, and her artistry in 0:32-0:38
Nobody can be forced to change their opinion. This is how one see a figure skater not just for the performance, but for the reputation, wangy. If one can disagree simply with the way that Kwan has performed, she is entitled to her own opinion. I now see Kwan in an entirely different light. No one is trying to be rude here.

Not my favorite SP of Michelle's, but I liked the part where she does the kick up on her toe pick. I don't think the 6.0 was deserved, though, because she had a bobble on the double axel. (I think 6.0s should be given only to performances which are artistically and TECHNICALLY perfect. That's why I also don't agree with the 6.0 Sasha received at '04 Nationals after she fell in the LP.) Still, good presentation.

1: Tremendous athletic ability
2: Great skill
3: Mental toughness in the clutch
Michelle had the first two, but she always choked in the clutch. Quite sad, because she could have been one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Actually both Michelle and Tara Lipinski skated without mistakes in the 1998 Olympics. It was a split decision by the judges that gave Tara the edge.

Truly one of the best short programs of her entire career. Not her best performance here of course, but a truly magnificent program and I am always impressed with how she lived the music.

skating reminds me so much of the past, when i was young, i agree with most people on here. you rarely ever see this stuff on tv anymore...i miss cuz well its just so entertaining in a beautiful way..remindds me of the 90's when i was really young.

sorry forgot to mention that I also like her very nicely timed spirals as they are perfectly choreographed to the right note of music! another move I like is how she lifts her legs up on her toe pick but it's a pity that she never did that same move again (at least not that I know of) in other programs.

i also like her moves in these segments - 0:54-0:58, 1:23-1:29, her footwork, and her final move. The program is not flawless though, and could be better if she could have landed her double axel nicely, have a better leg position in her layback, and have higher difficulty spins (although I like how centered she is in her spins!). Overall I think it's a top notch program!

i love the music and the program, and how Michelle attacks the program and expresses herself in a very different manner compared to her programs before 1999. Some of the moves I like include how she raises both her arms after the first spiral, how she expresses after her double axle, and her artistry in 0:32-0:38

Nobody can be forced to change their opinion. This is how one see a figure skater not just for the performance, but for the reputation, wangy. If one can disagree simply with the way that Kwan has performed, she is entitled to her own opinion. I now see Kwan in an entirely different light. No one is trying to be rude here.

Not my favorite SP of Michelle's, but I liked the part where she does the kick up on her toe pick. I don't think the 6.0 was deserved, though, because she had a bobble on the double axel. (I think 6.0s should be given only to performances which are artistically and TECHNICALLY perfect. That's why I also don't agree with the 6.0 Sasha received at '04 Nationals after she fell in the LP.) Still, good presentation.

Oops..should have read if Michelle were truly the champion these desperate people contend that she is she wouldn't need them to defend her every move and attack anyone who dares to differ..vulgar, vile, and ugly comments. Oh, well...I am enjoying my life and will continue to post..if the owners of the video blocks me I will NOT come back as someone else...I respect their rights and that isn't just talk..unlike...umm...errr...well...you know... think '2006' exit speech:)

Same goes for you. If she weren't the champion she is, you'd not feel the need in your jealousy to berate nearly ever skate and competition she's won. And it's nice to know that you can spend so much time being negative towards Michelle at every chance and still have such a positive well being in yourself. Good for you.

Well, well...I see that the stalkers are still at it...trashing me and advising that I die...I think not...I enjoy life very much and don't take much notice of desperate people except to enjoy their obvious desperation. Michelle really needs these people...if she were the champion they think she is there wouldn't..now would she???? heh heh heh...poor pathetic Shelly. Not EVERBODY!! Tara and Sarah are very much remembered...and they didn't have to hang around ice rinks for over a decade to prove how great they are!!!! And believe me MICHELLE cares that she doesn't have Olympic Gold...it was only AFTER she crawled out of Torino that 'it's not about the Gold'..sour grapes, perhaps! Winning the Olympic Gold is the goal of EVERY athlete!!!

ick, and I see you're still crawling around finding every opportunity to rag about Michelle Kwan, you are a pathetic miserable bitch, and yes, an OGM is the goal of every athlete, but it's what you do in your WHOLE career that counts and Michelle has proven you can still be revered without winning gold, she is one of the top skaters of all time without it, with it she would have been the best of all time. She was injured in Torino, Emily came and did just fine, why don't you just STFU and die?
