  • very great song!

  • The 'Long Beach Dub Allstars' ripped off this song in their tune "cyclone." I heard 'cyclone' years ago. I was a big fan of Sublime and the LBDA have a few songs I like. I'm always amazed, when I discover the original tune, at how much Sublime and LBDA rip from older ska music. But I still love Sublime, even though the music is not original.

  • @fukimotoz

I thougt "dub pistols" ripped this song off

  • You are correct, it was the dub pistols. I don't know why I was thinking LBDA. I recognized my error as soon I hit the 'post comment' button.

  • Almost every sublime song is ripped from jamacian music. i dont have a problem with it , its just funny how many of their fans have no idea. even the songs you think are originals, you just havent heard the original yet . " down at the pawnshop " !!!!

  • This is the kind of ska I like. The earlier ska music is the best!

  • I like to imaging a trombone player off to the side ;)

  • Hehe, good one

  • The worse part of this song is when it ends.

    The rest is beautiful!!

    :)

  • Merci!

  • what a beautiful melody!

  • absolute killer tune, up there with Fidel Castro, Christine Keeler, Cleopatra, Confucious and Ringo Rides.

  • sOoOnZeIrAHHHhhhhh!!!

  • ""Awsome""

  • Yeah, as an American, I have to admit that the transient vibrato's and the linear melodic tunisifies are very early Ska. Besides, these guys havent moved and George Bush said so, so it must be true.

  • great tune. they play so great you can't even see them move!

  • ita a pity that this instution has not had the recognition that it truly deserves in the world

  • R.I.P Tommyboy

Look up the song "cooking for tommy" by the slackers...their tribute to the legend.
