that thing is hitting some pretty insane RPMs just to light a few leds, I think it would be nicer to have a better generator that requires a bit more torque at lower rpm (it would probably be easier on your ears as well ;)

WTF! This is a TURBINE! they always run on insanly high rpm's even the turbo in a normal turbodiesel makes about 60.000 to 100.000 rpm!
Just the way it should go.

hy I have the parts necesary ... and I want to build my own turbine ... I was wondering ... does the angle at wich the steam hits the rotor count ? do you have any safety sistem in case the steam pressure gets too higi ? or any safety system if the turbine revs too much ? thanks alot .

It's a turbine although i can see the confusion, the thing that you think is the aeolipile is actually the boiler for producing the steam to drive the impulse turbine. I bought this engine from Germany.
