Wow! Junior Walker was one of a kind, the real deal in every way! I was fortunate enough to meet him for a moment, just long enough to shake his hand tell him what his music meant to me. He was so humble, straightforward, & a stellar performer.
Have long this song since I first heard it, however, that random Vanessa Hudgens picture threw me off a bit, but the tunes brought me back to reality.
This is probably my favorite song of all-time. I was a teen back in 1969, and this song just filled my heart with energy. Times were bad on a personal level, but with MOTOWN going strong, there was so much joy in popular music. This song to me is timeless.
luv dis song 4 ever and day cuz it has dat cool and relaxin' sound. it majke 2 get me a woman and make luv 2 her. thanks jr. walker and the all-stars!!!!!!!!
jameycruz2 I was "on the air" at many stations and saw the mistake you mentioned above many times. I could never figure out why JR's "COME SEE ABOUT ME" wasn't promoted more. A lot of sounds that the public would've made into a hit IF they'd been allowed to hear them. A fine example is OH BABY BABY by The Miracles. It took FOREVER "but" the listeners did it,,it became a super OLDIE but it was never one of their hits. "AND' FOREVER by The Marvelettes,,same thing.
Nothing compares!

Great version of the Johnny Bristol song. I play this song since 1969 a few times a day. The best intro ever made in popmusic !!

@TheKast88 good comment! if youngsters really knew music they would redo this. Saddiq or D'angelo could pull it off!

I wish I had a dollar for everytime I danced to this tune when I was in high school. The 60's are bulletproof.
