  • Where did David Go !! Broke a string ???

  • Look at Underwood pick that banjo! He is as solid as a rock and doesn't move an inch while on the mic. With his awesome timing, speed, tasteful licks, backup and tone he is my vote for all time greatest banjo player ever (Yes - I do love Don, Earl and Ralph)

  • OMG they look to be about 19 years old! JMB were the best band out there during this era - and I don't know if many have surpassed them since.

  • thanks for posting...love to see more of JMB

  • I was there that night! Those boys were so good. I sure miss those days. They were the tops at traditional Bluegrass; just hard to beat that. Would love to see more of this. Thanks for sharing this Milton!

  • The intro is called "Wake up Susan" by Eddie Stubbs. The JMB often used this as the intro for their sets and as a finale. It is the last track on their "At the Old Schoolhouse" cd and Eddie plays it blazing fast. Eddie was/is one of the best fiddlers ever. BTW, the song is "We can't be darlings anymore".

  • Dang, Eddie's voice changed a lot.

  • Eddie stubbs is fiddling hot here...ususally he plays a lot less than this...but its hot here..
