Halloween was meant to be a day that a group of superstitious people called Celts thought that it was a day that beings like ghosts, goblins, and leprechauns came out to trick people and take over their souls. They started leaving candy on the doorsteps to get them to leave them alone. People dressed up as the beings and took candy sometimes. Leprechauns were meant to be tricky so that's why it is called Trick or Treat!
