I play only BF2 on it... it is very good and fast... BF2 i a hog and very intensive on most systems when everything in the graphics and sound menu are jacked. It runs very smooth with all the settings on high. It does get hot on the left hand which is annoying... i think thats where the gpu heatsink maybe... it can get so hot it makes ur hand sweat! Other than that I really like it.

@teflondon91 Hey, I'm on the same laptop trying to play the same game. I get "stuttering" on all setting. Low and high. I don't know why. Is it because my 500GB HDD is 90% full? Thanks.

What game are you trying to play lol? You might want to defrag your drive and switch to Windows 7. This video is outdated as Windows 7 fixes all the Vista issues.

hey man, i was just wondering, because i'm this close to buying an hdx 18. but how many altec lansing speakers does it have? 4 or 2? + subwoofer

Hi Danorisa -- It has 4 speakers + subwoofer.. but the little subwoofer is a more of a gimmick I think. It works but don't expect it to break any sound barriers. The vista drivers appear to unlock all the IDT HD Sound hardware toggles. I have managed to tune up Vista (trim services, registry, strip visuals) and make it look like XP! I lost about 500 points on my 3Dmark score switching from XP to Vista but at least everything works properly now.

I'm not exactly sure on my specs it says 4 speakers but if there are 4 they are put long the soundbar menu system they have "media smart" control bar.... below what I am talking about... theres a good chance that if there are 4 that 2 of them are smaller speakers and the end ones are larger... personally I would suggest you need external speakers with this rig cause the built in sound is good, but still it sounds like any laptop even with the sub and the altec sound system...
