I never resorted to blaming the refs. The thing you are missing is that in the end, it all balances out in a 7 game series. And the Pens won it in the end, with superb play in the last 2 games.

I wouldn't expect fans of one team to always notice when their team is guilty of an uncalled penalty, but if you go back and watch the games without bias, you will see that the refs let a lot go on both sides. I remember screaming at my TV in Game 6 When Hudler held Adams' stick when Draper scored his goal...no call, but I also know we got away with some too.
Actually the Penguins were called for over ten more penalties than the REd wings were in this series. Just facts. I respect Detroit a lot, and don't think that the whole of Pittsburgh fans are represented by some tasteless comment from a few on youtube, but don't blame the refs man...it was an amazing series...don't cheapen it.

Fleury had a bad game. Simple as that. That goal he let in from that rookie was a back breaker. Although it will be hard, I definitly think that if ANY team can come back against the Wings, its the Pens.

Actually it's quite similar. Varlamov is a far superior to Osgood and Ovechkin is a one man wrecking crew. We won by determination. We didn't give up and it worked out in the end.
Datsyuk hasn't done jack recently so that says nothing. It's going back to our place so the tide will change.

I personally find it amazing the wings came out with two wins without Datsyuk, who is the best player in the NHL at the current moment (feel free to argue, it's just my opinion). I think any other team would be crippled with the loss of such a huge superstar, and it speaks volumes to the depth of the wings and why they are the best franchise in pro sports over the last decade and a little bit.

I don't know, Datsyuk only has 7 points this postseason. Even if he has been great on the defensive side, you'd expect (or at least I would) a little more offense from him.

the wings r using THE LEFT WING LOCK,they got it from how new jersey swept in 95.they been using it ever since.we need to take the lead. we cant be trailing going into the 3rd period w this tm,the left wing lock shuts you down.once detroit gets a lead on you they make it very difficult for you to come back.thats why we need to draw penalties to get pp chances or we get the lead 1st and then will force them out of their strategy and it will give us more scoring chances!LETS GO PENZ!

Fleury had a bad game. Simple as that. That goal he let in from that rookie was a back breaker. Although it will be hard, I definitly think that if ANY team can come back against the Wings, its the Pens.
If the puck was an inch to the left or right Crosby and Guerin would of scored and maybe the Pens would of been up 3-1, and the series would be tied right now.
All the fans who are going tomorrow need to yell and scream their asses off and support the Pens! Maybe thats just what they need!

Actually it's quite similar. Varlamov is a far superior to Osgood and Ovechkin is a one man wrecking crew. We won by determination. We didn't give up and it worked out in the end.
Datsyuk hasn't done jack recently so that says nothing. It's going back to our place so the tide will change.

Perhaps you should check teams other than Detroit. He's been the best goalie of the playoffs until he got eliminated. His two wins were shutouts and had a GAA below 2.00 before playing the Pens.

While I won't say this series is over. Pittsburgh now has to do something that only 1 other team in history has done. Come back from down 2-0 in the series. Except for the fact that the Pens are a much better team than last year and were awed while they are confident this year. It would be insanity to compare the two playoff series. We got blown out last time while this one is pretty close. (score wise) We've comeback from 2-0 before and we'll do it again.
Datsyuk and Hossa have been quiet so I won't worry. Once the game goes back to our place, it's a series.

Again, Detroit is not Washington. Detroit plays defense and has a goalie that is on fire right now. Washington doesn't play defense, and had a goalie that (I believe) was a rookie. He was bound to feel the pressure sooner or later. And it's debateable which Pens team was "better." With all the players that had to be replaced, there went a lot of the "experience" that was thought to be gained by making the finals last year. Wings in no more than 6.

I personally find it amazing the wings came out with two wins without Datsyuk, who is the best player in the NHL at the current moment (feel free to argue, it's just my opinion). I think any other team would be crippled with the loss of such a huge superstar, and it speaks volumes to the depth of the wings and why they are the best franchise in pro sports over the last decade and a little bit.

I don't know, Datsyuk only has 7 points this postseason. Even if he has been great on the defensive side, you'd expect (or at least I would) a little more offense from him.
It would have been nice for the Pens to capitalize with him out, if he's back for game 3 it's just that much tougher.

the refs don't love the wings... see highlights of the series with the ducks and blackhawks.
game tying goal disallowed because the ref "lost sight of the puck" and blew his whistle too early, and Kronwall kicked out for an arguably legal hit. (the only way it could possibly seen as illegal was a technicality... he was skating with the puck but had not touched it yet.) among others.

Wings play great on the road,so murdering them in OUR HOUSE will not happen. (like last year). The refs always let the teams play during the finals every year ... only time they get to play like the old days. You get to interfere and hit harder than any other time of the playoffs. When you see enough finals series over the years you will realize this.
Pittsburg just cannot win because then Hossa would have realized he made a mistake by coming to the Wings to get his ring.
