Regine is the best. Period. EVERY singer- including Charice has emulated, copied, or mimicked in some way or form Regine's vocal style. In the end, anyone that comes after Regine HAS to give credit to Regine for being an inspiration. Don't be arrogant fans of other singers. Regine has set the standard for pinoy singing- like it or not. Charice in her younger days copied ALL HER SONGS. Rachelle, Sarah, La Diva they all emulate Regine. so back off of Regine. She is the Queen of the music industry

wow it was so heartfelt, one can not help but be overwhelmed, it made everyone sing along. I guess this is the essence of a national anthem, it makes you feel so in love with our country. Isn't this the objective of a national anthem? Originally this is written to be a marching song, but then I guess it becomes so mechanical, that is why I like Regine's rendition.

this is a good version but this is too slow as if this was sang to someone grieving. and it should not be TOO HIGH, my ear hurts. i still prefer the MARCHA version.
@rodelvargas the way she sang it was great indeed. the difference was only on the tempo. and on the last part on the high note if you'll try to look on the musical sheet of this composition you will see that it is divided into 4-5 voices including the melody and what you just heard. you really don't need to be so mad, pissed or whatever just because someone sang it this way. what's more important is on how she gave justice on this song. if you're the composer wouldn't you be proud?
It really is okay if people will sing the national anthem in different versions, especially now that we have a more modern advance society. it's just that CCP is very strict on the conservation of our culture and of our history. another thing is the song was written with a musical allegro which must be followed, and if changes are to be made the composer must b asked for his permission first- this rule was actually and still practiced by those who are studying/graduates of conservatory schools.
This is not the best version, not even right to sang the philippine national anthem..you should know the history on how Julian Felipe puts on the notes in each and every line...we should stick on that...Regine is a great singer...she performs well...indeed! This is the best version. We filipinos don't succeed because we are surrounded of hypocrites, critics and boastful old school conservatives.. The Americans didn't even criticized Christina, Patti because they are so united and supportive with each other,, with the way the star spangled banner sang by own styles of their artists ..even not the original notes...Regine here did very well and even more beautiful compare to the original..sing it yourself if you are not contented...and be famous..!

Ito pa rin ang pinaka-favorite kong version ng Lupang Hinirang. Sana kasi wag masyadong EPAL yung mga taga National Historical Institute. Wala kasi silang alam sa creative license. Imbis na pagkanta ng mga singers ang asikasuhin nila, hindi nila asikasuhin yung mga maling printout sa mga history books natin ngayon.

This is the best version. We filipinos don't succeed because we are surrounded of hypocrites, critics and boastful old school conservatives.. The Americans didn't even criticized Christina, Patti because they are so united and supportive with each other,, with the way the star spangled banner sang by own styles of their artists ..even not the original notes...Regine here did very well and even more beautiful compare to the original..sing it yourself if you are not contented...and be famous..!

Ito pa rin ang pinaka-favorite kong version ng Lupang Hinirang. Sana kasi wag masyadong EPAL yung mga taga National Historical Institute. Wala kasi silang alam sa creative license. Imbis na pagkanta ng mga singers ang asikasuhin nila, hindi nila asikasuhin yung mga maling printout sa mga history books natin ngayon.

@kennetskyz I kinda agree, kung ung Star Spangled Banner nga ng US ang daming rendition and iba't ibang styles pero halos lahat maganda. Maganda nga actually ung mabagal ng onti sa Lupang Hinirang e, mas ramdam mo ung lyrics.
Hypocritical kasi ung gobyerno natin, kunwari may pake sila sa "originality" and pagbibigay respeto daw sa unang gumawa/kumanta. Di ko talaga get ang gusto ng mga tao and dinedemanda pa ang mga singers na umawit gamit ang puso nila. anlabo xD Anyway, I love this version:D

@hanchie unfortunately, a Republic act in 98 does not allow different versions other than the original march tempo, so in fact, stricty speaking, she is breaking the law by singing it too slowly, but she does have a powerful, beautiful voice.
