When he left office, he made no bones about cashing-in on the presidency. Harry Truman must have spun 1,000 RPM in his grave while Ford sat on multiple corporate boards and charged $25k for after-dinner speeches. As a result, now all ex-Presidents do it.

Truman once said, "you can't buy the office of the Presidency from me". But Ford was in it for the bucks.

Surely there was some "understanding" between Nixon and Ford, particularly since the pardon came exactly one month after Nixon announced he would resign. You are correct about Sipple, the ex-Marine who was gay. Viewed with the benefit of nearly 40 years of hindsight, though, Ford made an important contribution to the Nation which cannot be denied.

Actually, it's an old E.M. Skinner. AEolian-Skinner added ranks in the 1960's and 1970's if I'm not mistaken (I don't have the history of this organ in front of me as I'm not home). My all time favourite hymn.

It is quite necessary to play with a detached touch in the Cathedral, when one is supporting congregational singing. Scott Dettra, the current Organist, is a master at sensing just how much to detach to enhance the singing.

This hymn written by an English bishop for the long, stately processions full of pagentry which we in the Anglican (Episcopal) tradition love. Ralph Vaughn Williams updated the tune. It is one of the most beloved hymns in the Episcopal Church and always sung on All Saints Sunday in Nov.

First of all, it is not a "Song", it's a Hymn. Secondly the tune "Sine Nomine" or "For All the Saints" was written by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The words are by William Walsham How who was a suffragan Bishop of London's East End and held the title Bishop of Bedford.
