Is this exhaust pretty loud on the DA? My friend had it on his 2000 SI EM1 and it was extremely loud. Could hear him on the freeway approximately 1/2 mile in front of me with my windows closed.
lol iamaboy, your right thats not stock, he put some money in it, just by the tires you can tell its not stock, you dont spend 1200 on directional tires for a stock da9 that only pushes 120hp on a good day off the factory floor, i say hes probably put a few thousand into it overall. but it sounds like its worth it.and no, not every inline 4 is a ricer. a basic ricer is any car thats built to look and sound fast, but is slow. da9=tuner if done correctly. btw, i own same car, may look into exhaust
@Armyb0i there is nothing in that engine besides a prelude style header. i have a ls/vtec in my da an sounds exactly like this car, this has cheap wheels an tires, NO tires are 1200 in that size wheel besides road race slicks.

I would run around 12.5:1 Compression on a All motor LS/Vtec Setup. Long Rod Stroker kit from Brian Crower, fully balanced and blueprinted. Port polish and fully build head and get a great tune you will push around 235-250whp.
LS/Vtec Frankenstein will pull harder then a GSR Will. Type R is way different. The longer stroke in an LS Motor plus Some Type-R internals. Keep the LS rods untill you get money to swap them out and just get ARP Bolts and main and Head studs and your set. More Torque and Power curve then a GSR will.

hey integraballa97 you said you are going to go for a K20 right? If im not mistaken the power to weight ratio gain for dropping a simple b18b1 engin (yes thats the LS engine) into a civic hatch or even a coupe is around a 120% gain in power, buch like taking the 5.0 engine in the crown victoria (police interceptor) and dropping it into a mustang (preferably a 93 since its so fucking light) which I have a neighbor that has done it and god the power is immense. Glad to see someone else with sense.

yeah its a good exhaust im picking myselfup one, check out ebay, about 400 then there is s/h, but make sure you do the headers as well, so you get the most bang for your buck..also this is NOT rice, rice is the muffler tip..this is a performance exhaust..there is a difference people

you can get a off brand cat for 300 or so on ebay with s/h or spend about 400-500 on one of those good brands like skunk 2 ect.

And FYI if you took the b18b1 or a b18b engine and dropped it in a civic or if possible a crx you would have a fucking tin can with a rocket engine in it, so shut the fuck up when you think you can diss someones tested and proven ideas. that was directed at Turbochargesi...aka the dumb ass.

so, did your car come with a 50 lb bag of rice? man the only reason im not gonna flam you is b/c i have a brock v-r 80cx exhaust on mine that has a roar like a damn lion and its not the evil high pitched squeal, I hate that shit, my advice is to sell that car and get a type r engine and ek shell with or without the tranny and make that bitch run, or just get the ek shell and go for password jdm and get the tranny and engine together, but till you do that, ur a RICER

umm yeah dumb ass I was talking about his LS Integra, not a damn civic, get ur head out of your ass and read the comments before you say anything, and Skunk2 Exhaust systems are specialized for Hondas so they sound half decent on a civic, but I still think the Brock exhaust is MUCH nicer.

lol actually you dumb prick I own a 95 LS Interga myself as well as an 88 Supra which I have twin turbo's and an VCTI replaced cam set which is pumping around 370 hp not to mention a 99 mustang sleeper with a 4.2 liter RT engine i built up myself with a Garret Turbo and full catback exhaust. So unless you have anything to match that then i suggest you shut the fuck up, you probably arn't ricer but you're fucking acting like it you dipshit

camlost910, when you hear a Honda with a straight through exhaust, that's usually what a race prepped Honda sounds like, ever hear a race tuned B16 with a straight through exhaust? it's loud and highpitched as FUCK! lol
true, having a car that loud on the street isn't really "cool" but it's not really "ricey" either, that's just what the engine sounds like without alot of restriction from the exhaust.
