  • hahahah lol

  • hahaha the guy uses the hd dvd player as i drink holder and blu ray for wacthing hahaha

  • No shit...

  • no shit does means yes right

  • hahahah best vid ever

  • Thats what 1 million HD DVD owners are gonna use their players for now now that the war is over.

  • lawl at microshit's fanboys rating this video low.

  • Toshiba is set to announce that they are pulling out of the HD DVD business after Warner Bros and US retailers Wal-Mart, K Mart and Best Buy said that they are only going to support Blu ray. Also contributing to the decision was a move by retailers globally to support Blu ray over HD DVD.

  • LMAO

  • the ending when the guy asks him, what are you gonna do with your HD DVD.......FUNNY.....AS......SHIT...LMFAO XD

  • Long live Blu-ray and good times for the consumer this year.More and more are getting into HD and Blu-ray offeres great quality.

  • Quit while you're ahead. You've posted this on two other vids. HD has no chance. Forget it already.

  • right on man, good luck with that.

  • the future is indeed blu.

  • The lighting in the video is pretty low quality very flat.

  • It's time that we all embraced Blu-ray. I've no idea why some people will want to cling to a sinking ship, when the Blu rescue ship is more than willing to bring them on board.

  • We've won!

  • You imbecile, Sony isn't Chinese, they are a Japanese company. Wow, such ignorance. Blu-Ray now has 75% of the Hollywood studios exclusively to itself. Paramount & Universal have announced no new movies for HD-DVD, its been dead silence. And sales have clearly been 70% or so all of 2007. HD-DVD is dead, give up and shut up.

  • ur so funny blu-ray for ever

  • Good use for it. lol

  • LOL! its funny cos its true, i threw out my hd dvd playewr a long time ago

  • lol hd dvd got owned

  • I guess the people who want only one format to survive like to pay higher prices for their movies. When Cd's first came out everyone said their prices would drop after manufacturing costs went down. Well manufacturing costs did go down but prices actually went higher.

Warner wants you to buy one format so they can keep the price high for one disc instead of competing with their own selves between two different discs. So laugh now the jokes on you.

  • What?

  • CDs are at higher Prices because of the Music Mafia (Some people still call it "Industry"). Normal blank CDs are cheap as hell, same goes for CD Drives and so on.

  • Hd-dvd and Blu-Ray Discs both cost 30$ and blu-ray players only cost 299$ Hd-dvd Players cost around 299 also unless u get the add on for 360 at 200$

  • BD won

  • Although I, too, believe Bluray will win, and I want it to...it's a darn shame that Sony has exclusive rights to Bluray, and any company that uses the technology must license it from Sony. This will keep costs a bit high due to lack of competition when HD-DVD dies. ) :

  • HD DVD is really down

  • hahahahah now the hd dvd is dead warner and fox has gone blu ray exclusive also its daed the future is blu ,which mean blu has won the war

  • As Bugs Bunny might say to the red camp for WB going blu only, "Neaaaa (chomping on carrot), thats all folks"!

  • A quick clarification...

Bugs Bunny says "What's up doc"

Porky Pig says, "That's all foks!"

  • I know, Its just that when I was trying to type the comment, I couldn't figure out how to spell the jitter that Porky does before he says "Thats all folks" so I resorted to Bugs.

  • Now all we need is Universal and the other companies will fall in line. Paramount still has a little less than 18 months on their contract so it's not likely we'll see them switch anytime soon unless the other companies fall in line to the Blu-ray camp. Well, here's to hoping it happens soon.

  • Hilarious! Happy Blu-Year to all!

  • LMAO!! I'm so happy Blu-Ray won!

  • Oh Snap son!

  • hahahh

  • hd dvd is screaming from the grave but just wont die....

just need some more punches to the neck and it will shut the hell up

  • hahahaha

  • The only reason im happy Blu Ray has Warner and now New Line Cinema is because I have PS3 so i have no choice but Blu Ray. If i had no PS3, i would care who won. I would just want the format war to end, so there is One Format, and all the movies. I hate that some movies are HD DVD only and some are Blu Ray. Hopefully most movies will be Blu Ray now.

  • Don't worry, within about a year, everything that's currently on HD-DVD only will be on Blu-ray. You can bet on that. Paramount and Universal (and Warner with Batman Begins and Matrix) are too smart to miss out on all the potential profits.

  • its sounds a little dumb, but i guess he's buying it because hd dvd is losing so why buy those movies when they're gonna stop making them soon.

  • Yea I guess so...just seems too much fanboyish...

I didn't buy the ps3 and a couple of blu-ray movies...JUST because it appeared blu-ray would soon wipe it off the map

Is this a real commerical by the way?

(btw...I see i pissed off some fanboys)

  • i can't tell, i seems fake to me...if it is real its probably only an advertisement on the net or something.

  • That's why people buy the Wii, after all.

  • Yeah, he should pick the format that's been getting its butt kicked in sales. The one that's completely losing the format war is the one he should have bought. LOL!!! Why WOULDN'T you take sales into account when trying to jump in right now?

  • I didn't say you SHOULDN'T take it into account...but having that as THE reason to buy it? No.

  • HD-DVD is officially a coaster

  • HD DVD is Dead.

  • I couldn't agree more. WB is now blu exclusive. Just when things for the red camp couldn't get any worse, it did.

  • lol, funny video! Using the hd dvd player as a coaster is a good idea

  • HD DUD is s*it. Get your facts right, you don't even have any proof you have both. Believe me, blu is better, Its got better support, better picture quality, more capacity, need I go on?

  • Actually, HD DVD has better picture. However, Blu-Ray has superior audio quality and capacity (Even if its completely useless to have that kind of capacity for anything besides hi-def TV series').

  • poor misinformed consumer.

but just out of interest wheres this "source" of yours that says hddvd has a better picture

  • lol haaaa haaaaa more haaaa haaaaa lol haaa ,

    Thanks

  • why would warner want to support a company that is in direct comp in the movies

sony owns all the rights to the bluray coding so all other studios will have to pay sony rights to use it!

it does not make sense to give your competitor the edge

sony has a large enough share of the electronics and movies why give them even more?

warner will decide to go hd dvd anyone agree

sony can go and fu*&%$££ itself

  • i guess Microsoft doing the same thing right?

  • what are u talking about

sony doesn't make bluray, its just a big supporter of it

  • Sony is a large district but the hardware district and movie district are in completely diferent areas

  • Sony are in both. Sony own Sony Pictures (obviously) as well as Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayor.

  • lulz I love it.

  • the future is here man

  • Wtf I was about to go buy a ps3 but after seeing this add sony can go f&ck itself.

  • Yeah, I totally believe you. I can see how a video on Youtube would change your mind about a 400-500 dollar investment

  • yeah actually it did I wanted to get a Blu ray player aswell with HD DVD but if Blu ray is going to be this pathetic and cheap Im not going to get it... f*ck blu ray

  • C'mon, if Sony made this vid, they'd get sued for featuring a HD player without Toshy's consent.

  • This video has nothing to do with Blu-ray. Just some fan or something made this low-budget joke.

  • SSD FLASHDISK ftw because it has no mechanical parts. sorry sony but your late on extending the current dvd. another atrac, umd, md ....

  • "THIS ADVERT MAKES NO SENSE ON ANY LEVEL."

    Neither does HD-DVD

  • so this 'character' has supposedly bought a HD-DVD player, a blu-ray player, AND a PS3? Why not just buy the PS3? THIS ADVERT MAKES NO SENSE ON ANY LEVEL.

  • Wow, it even plays on the PS3??? Good news, I guess, since there aren't really any games for it.

  • is this evan a real ad?

  • When deciding on a format: God has a BD player because it represents water and life and the devil has a HD DUD player because it represents fire and death. You decide.

  • I choose...........

    You are a fuck wit.

  • Thank you.

  • LOL I would say the same back. Who's still winning since it came out Blu. I don't see any chance HD ever gunna get a step on top of Blu. Unless they be giving 20 HD-DVD along with the Price Drop of the Players for $50 by Christmas I don't even want it for Free. TF is like the only movie I want. Blu-Ray all the way.

  • I've got a good idea, buy 3 HD movies and get a HD DUD player, absolutly FREE!

(Disclamer: HD player cannot do 1080p and cannot be returned under any circumstances, please ignore what Toshiba + Micro$oft say and join the blu crew).

I also heard from Mr. Bay that M$ wants both formats to flop to bring in digital distribution.

  • I mean, who wants a HD movie on their computer which takes hours to download, has terrible picture quality and NO lossless sound, not to mention the fact that you can trade back your movie when you're done watching it. Why did you think Apple TV flopped? Because no one could be bothered downloading movies for the big screen!

  • if i max out my connection hd movies takes 4-6mins to dl for me... time to get a good connection u idiot

  • Still, do you want something that you can hold or download something where everything is compressed?

  • well your just as retarded as bay why the hell would you listen to him... thats called a conspiracy. Also HD DVD is just as good as BLU RAY

  • Hey Sony fanboys - Does yr dentist hate you because yr breath smells like cock from sucking Sony off?

  • Wow. You are an idiot.

  • Eh, no but he hates you for sucking Microshiba's dicks.

  • You guys are all f-ing nuts, BD and HDDVD fans alike. It's just a technical standard, not a member of your family. Chill the the fk out.

  • LOL...this is a sad attempt...please Sony dont try to copy Microsoft's tactics, and im just saying this because, YOU SUCK AT IT. Microsoft does it better.

  • Its a fan made vid, not a sony made one.

  • What are you talking about nerd...this is a Sony viral marketing for blu gay.

  • The term is nerdkiller, not nerd, thats only gonna cause confusion. If sony made the vid, they might get sued for featuring a HD player made by Toshiba. Oh and another thing, blu ray is not only outselling HD DUD in the US, but in every single part of the world in which its available (US 2-1, Jpn 97% share, EU 3-1, UK 4-1) and I would rather have HD VMD than HD DUD. By march of '08, if the figures stay as they are, Toshy will have surrendered to blu ray.

  • Let it cause more confusion NERD....well just watched the vid again and nowhere can I see the name or brand of Toshiba on it. So, this is viral marketing by the Blu Gay camp. I wouldnt consider all those figures as facts, because...!!!WHO THE F**K ARE YOU!!!. Also, lately HD DVD is killing Blu Gay in players. We'll see that take effect this holidays.

  • Oh really? Then why the hell is more blockbuster movies (Pirates, Cars, Ratatouie, Simpsons movie, highly likley Hitman, Die Hard (all 4 movies), Spiderman trilogy, Independence Day and the rumors that Warner is going to dump HD DUD) and also, the only place in my town that actually sells HD DUD is the local GameStop, (which don't sell that many(they only sell 4 compared to about 50 BD's) and Ireland's equ. of Blockbuster, Xtra Vision sells BD only.

  • Damnit, Why did my sister (ella001122) login while I typed that down without me knowing? Well better get back to my HD DUD, 3fixme rant.

  • Also, we still won the Black Friday incident (72.6% share) and since the PS3 was released last year, BD hasn't lost a week since, not even Transformers could save the day for the look and sound of pointless. Just face it, HD is f*cked and there is nothing they can do about it. No matter how many people are bribed, no matter how many $100 players they have, it's the PS3 thats mauling HD and not even the 360 HD add on can scratch the BD paintwork.

  • Dude again, your pullig shit right out your ass. Take your blu-gay glasses off and come to reality. Percentages only hide numbers. When it comes down to HDTVs and HDplayers, HD DVD will start to rise this holidays. PS3 is not going to save the blu ray, I thought that was a gameing system in the first place. Besides isnt PS3 getting demolished vs the 360 & Wii???

  • Eh no, PS3 is outselling the Wii in japan and is outselling the 360 in europe, not in total numbers but in how may sales in the week. And wait...isn't HD DUD getting demolished by BD, uh, yeah. The people have spoken. Blu ray is better. It has more storage, it has a better transfer rate (hell, HD VMD has a better transfer rate than HD but less than BD and if you dont believe me, go to Wiki and type in VMD), its more scratch resisrant than HD and costs less than HD per GB.

  • LOL HD didn't rise to anything except a morning news blurb about WB going BD. You can either eat that crow, or shove it up your ass.

  • Dude, percentages hides numbers...when was the last time I heard Sony come out with some actual numbers. NEVER. Like I said when it comes down to HDTVs and players, HD DVD will see a rise this holidays. "PS3 CANT SAVE BLU GAY"...besides I thought it was a gameing system...???

  • When was the last time Toshy came out with HD numbers, oh wait, NEVERRRRRRRR!!!! The PS3 is here to save Blu ray from the start. You probably just think HD is better because you bought a $99 player which doesn't do s*it for balls. Let me put it to you this way. Before the PS2 was released, DVD sales have been as low as hell. All the players were expensive and when the PS2 launched, it made DVD the standard it is in video.

  • yes we will see now that ps3 is 399 prick

  • the best commercial future is Blue

  • LMFAO!! The future is indeed Blu!

  • lol

  • That commercial is awesome go Blu-Ray!!! and yes Blu-Ray is winning against Hd-Dvd 2 to 1 but thats here in America just by itself that does not include other countries like Japan 97% support Blu as their next generation player

  • I love this commercial! so funny. Blu-ray forever...

  • asadf

  • That was a really bad attempt at a viral campaign... Sony, what happened to the mercenary fanboi?

  • people don't understand that blu-ray isn't owned by Sony. It is technically owned by phillips because they have the patent. Blu-ray disc on the other hand is run by the blu-ray disc asscioation. Sony just supports blu-ray and at the same time is a major film studio so people assume blu-ray is owned by sony.

  • Totally stupid advert. It actually make me despise having bought a PS3. I'm going to break it in half, and go anti blu from now on. Especially as we all know BR is dead by the turn of the decade. I mean, remember Beta, sony ?

  • Wow.. with all those arguments of yours, I must be agree with you!

  • I like the way you think.

  • I guess sony needs to put this out to make them selfs feel good.

  • FUCK THE HD-DVD

  • Beta was never popular and the rumors that WB will go BD exclusive is all the more sweeter.

  • Man I thought I was back in the 50s after watching this ad. Peer pressure ads? LOL

Hey rofflecakes, did Sony just pay you for that endorsement? You read that off a cue card didn't ya.

  • I'd say that pill was expired.

  • ur face is expired :)

  • Take the blu pill next time. It works better.

  • Also, you're mom was expired.

  • lol not very funny

  • so true..... the real function of blu-ray is to play movie, while hd dvd is a tray to put your stuff on it (aka rubbish)

  • ROFLMAO!!!

    Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

  • lol go bluray! But seriously...OUCH thats a direct attack on HD-DVD

  • LOL at the HD DVD supporters (xbots) giving thumbs down. HD DVD am owned.

  • Fuck the format war- I'm getting a player that plays BOTH!

  • good choice

  • What are these certain movies? Blu-ray disc player (like my PS3) can play any DVD movie and Blu-ray movies. Blu-ray has more space, scratch resistant coating (rent a movie, watch the hell out of it, but return it in mint condition), more exclusive titles, and doesn't need to bribe companies with $50 million like Paramount to change sides. Speilberg refuses to have his movies released on HD DVD. I wonder why?

Disney is a huge Blu-ray supporter.

  • For those who don't know, blu ray is selling better than hd dvd. It's not like it's a war or anything. The newer format will win... The an even newer one will. I have a PS3 and I use dvds more than anything else. I'll start buying my movies on blu ray when I feel like it. I happy that sony went with blu ray the way they went with dvd on the ps2. It's agreat format that allows tons of space, and now we can see this space put to good use(UNCHARTED).

  • This hating of either sides needs to stop. They should just produce for both. Damn BD people want to protect their overpriced investment by creating media to slam the other side. I would like to see someone tell the difference from a side by side comparison of one film by the two formats. I am not biased toward any side, but this war is just ridiculous.

  • he he he, thts exactly wht i should of used my hddvd for, why did i burn it then put it in a paper bag with poo, set it on fire and leave it on toshibas door-step, why?, sry toshiba i love your tvs

  • Is That Vince Vaughn?

  • this is very stupid and juvenile.

  • Please, you're a gamer. Enjoy your games. When the next new game system comes out, gamers will forget all about their Blu Ray PS3 and move on. That's the video game life cycle and it will cripple that movie format. Grown men with home theater system aren't supporting the PS3, they are supporting the superior home movie system, which is HD DVD. Ful featured, out of the box.

Maybe someday when you get facial hair, you will understand.

  • What a joke. Buy a Blu Ray player for twice the price of an HD DVD player and get half the features...yeah, ok. I can't believe how people are. Remember, Paramount and Dreamworks jumped from the sinking Blu ship. I suggest others do the same.

  • YAY BLURAY!!! FTW!!! lol!

  • Nice picture? IQ is near identical.

Yea the future is blu with a DRM crammed media!

    0/10

  • The picture may be close but the audio isn't. Blu-ray has over 3 times the number of titles available with lossless audio. And DRM may not be a bad thing... Blu-ray gained 20th Century Fox's exclusive support because of the advanced copy protection features offered over HD-DVD.

  • and Blu Ray lost Dreamworks and Paramount. Count out how many titles Fox has released...do you really consider their support worthwhile?

  • Hmm, lets see... So far, Fox has released the Die Hard movies, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, The Day After Tomorrow, Prison Break Season 1, Edward Scissorhands, and The Fly just to name a few. Oh yeah, and they hold the rights to the Star Wars movies.

Granted, Paramount does have some movies that I want on Blu-ray (and probably will have in a year or so), but compare the releases for both studios for Q4 this year. Fox wins hands down both in quantity and quality.

  • Actually Lucas probably has the power to put Star Wars on whatever format he chooses.

  • lol, go Blu-Ray!!!!

  • haha die HD DUD die. hahaha!!!

  • lol... die HD DUD die. lol

  • Funny, clever and to the point. Great job!
