It looks like the script is broken on the new FCEUX. Try FCEUX 2.1.1 instead.

If you zap a boss, the boss disappers, but isn't defeated. you got to load a state back or reset. So If you fight a boss, don't use the laser eye, or else you'll be traped there until you load back a state or reset the emulator.
