I regret renting this movie. Overall it wasn't that bad, but then came that rape scene...which had to have lasted at least 4 minutes. Got tired of looking away and kept wondering when it was finally going to END. Not entertaining. I was somewhat upset to be ambushed with that. I would have shut the DVD off but I didn't want the money spent on the rental to go to waste. Oh, plus that garbage disposal scene was just nasty. Complete waste of 90 minutes.

i actually enjoyed this movie. it kept me on the edge of my seat. though it was a little predictable most of the time, i found it entertaining and a respectful horror remake. i like how you got to know the characters instead of them dying really early and not caring... though i did not care for paige really lol.

@gatheringleaves I was in Cote d’Ivoire in 2002-2003/ Afghanistan on three occaisions since 2001 but mostly the worst stuff I saw re rape was in Rwanda in 1995 but Rwanda and Zaire in 1991 were also bad enough. As for sicko's with a twisted sense of humour; they could hardly imagine the sick twisted things we do to each other when the dogs of war are unleashed. Pray that you never know what I am talking about. It's a kind of 'truth is stranger than fiction" thang.

the rape scene must be show because otherwise the movi has no reason. that´s why the parents are going to kill them. i think girls should be more carefull they´re gone with.

I regret renting this movie. Overall it wasn't that bad, but then came that rape scene...which had to have lasted at least 4 minutes. Got tired of looking away and kept wondering when it was finally going to END. Not entertaining. I was somewhat upset to be ambushed with that. I would have shut the DVD off but I didn't want the money spent on the rental to go to waste. Oh, plus that garbage disposal scene was just nasty. Complete waste of 90 minutes.

I Think The Rape Scene Was Needed, Because It Shows How Much Torment She Went Through.
Also, I Found Myself Thinking Of Children Who Have Actually Gone Through Things Like This, &How Their Parents Would Most Likely React In The Same Way If They Could.

i actually enjoyed this movie. it kept me on the edge of my seat. though it was a little predictable most of the time, i found it entertaining and a respectful horror remake. i like how you got to know the characters instead of them dying really early and not caring... though i did not care for paige really lol.

the original was shocking in the rape scene and the rest was shit..same with this one...it tries to keep the attention of the viewer with graphic violence when decent acting and good direction kept me interested for the first half.shame it just became a gore fest!!

How much of the movie was dedicated to "revenge"? In the original, there really wasn't much torture and revenge, just fighting to kill them. Does this movie have a longer time frame of actually torturing them and seeking revenge?

Just watched it. It was lacking in the revenge dept. for me. I mean he barely managed to kill them, there was like 12 seconds of revenge for each of them (disposer, micro). Is there a movie out there with more elaborate torture at the end? Torturing the criminals I mean..

I remember once in Cote d'Ivoire we had to watch while dozens of women were raped and then decapitated. @gatheringleaves I was in Cote d’Ivoire in 2002-2003/ Afghanistan on three occaisions since 2001 but mostly the worst stuff I saw re rape was in Rwanda in 1995 but Rwanda and Zaire in 1991 were also bad enough. As for sicko's with a twisted sense of humour; they could hardly imagine the sick twisted things we do to each other when the dogs of war are unleashed. Pray that you never know what I am talking about. It's a kind of 'truth is stranger than fiction" thang.

I think the rape scene was just too overdone, I turned the movie off. What sick brain could possibly think of this disgusting movie. I dont mind murders and stuff, Saw all the way, but this just went too far for me.
