  • does the same thing go whit windows 7 i have a pc that runes vista and i have a other pc in which i what to run 7 to give it a try =-)

  • ADR,just wondering what kind of cell phone do you have?

  • Why do you want to know :D

  • Yep, that about sums it up.

I remember using Norton years ago when it wasnt such a resource hog.

I think for the most part, as you said, staying away from P2P and all that stuff should keep you virus free.

  • I don't use my PC much (I use it for the occasional game like 1-2 times a week), but I do have Avast, that's good enough for me for how little often I use it.

  • i have used IE for more than 8 years now and all i can say its a pile of shit when it come to security

  • I have no problems with IE8 even when browsing around sites for patches/cracks etc, and for XXX I flip it into InPrivate mode so its like streaming a video, but instead its web surfing lol, nothings stored on the computer.

  • hrm. i used ie8 since jan this year and never had problems.

  • Great vid. thanks. My PC at work has Reg Cure, how do I uninstall it and what can I use instead, that is free and good?

  • i just sent a PM in your inbox

  • I did see a review of MS latest beta test of Security Essentials by a guy named Mrizos on YT. He hit it with about 10 various malicious websites that were new and it stopped every one.

My advise also if you want to learn more about how each security software performs, check out Mrizos youtube channel. I was kind of impressed that even IE8 alone caught a lot of the bad sites.

  • Yes is Gary Numan. i always had bad luck with Norton. Back in the days you can use Norton to Wright viruses? WTF?? I thought it was suppose to stop viruses not write them. I only recommend Norton to Mac users :D

  • I agree the old one's suck. Honestly though my computer boots quick. I have no viruses or spyware and that's the only thing I use. I do download a lot of programs and shit, aand I run as full admin. Still 100% virus/spyware free.

  • Yeah maybe Norton have sorted themselves out but i wouldnt use it and i wouldnt recommend anyone to use it simply because they have been in the security game for many years and they failed so why but my trust in something that claim to protect my pc but just made my PC slow laggy and stops my PC from booting up.

  • This is some song by Gary Numan isn't it? This is some pretty good tips for people new to computers aswell. I would recommend nis 2009 for antivirus though because it uses a lot less resources than previous versions, and it is very good at detecting various forms of malware and it has very few false detections.

  • what do you think about the rapidshare is it safety to download from tham like i do?

  • I used that a few times never had a problem but then again i hardly use it you need to ask lev8080 he uses it all the time.

  • I have formated my hard drive over 10 times with the Win Vista setup and i never got that error, the error shows up when you try to boot into a operating system, that is.... not there anymore, well from my knowledge that is what it means. Anywho good video. 5/5

  • That error comes after a long time of use, when the hard disk is almost full.

  • DO NOT use anything related to NORTON. I don't care if their latest anti-virus works better, you shouldn't even buy it because they've given such crappy performance and protection for the past ten years that they don't even deserve the money. Eset NOD32 is a great pick and just runs great, hardly even notice it running.

  • Absolutely true. Norton has to be the worst software maker i coma cross. Everything they doo is a crock of shit. Only thing i use is Norton Ghost and even that a pile of shit, but Im forced to use it.

  • True dat ADR, Norton Ghost really the only thing I would ever trust from them, then again there are just as good or better free image software out there.

  • My advise is once you have your OS installed/updated and programs installed make a backup image of it. I have mine setup where I have two copies of my music files, one on main drive and other on second drive. I also back it up to an external drive every once in a while. I know it seems paranoid, but if you spend several hundred dollars on music you don't want that to be lost.

  • Yeah i try to make it simple as possible

  • sorry how is the Bsod caused?

is it caused by installing the Os not on a partition that says unallocated.

    I missed Vista sorry.

  • You should have mentioned that the first thing anyone should do with a new off-the-shelf PC is reformat and make a clean Windows installation to remove factory bloatware.

  • BTW that video you made was funny as hell. going there know to watch it again :D

  • Thats right' disk cleaner i think defrag happens automatically as soon the as screen saver come on or the monitor turns off
