I miss Peete. I just realized that I might not of said that Peete is the one playing bass but his main instrument was the guitar. I just noticed that this video shows Peete was rooting for Obama even way back when this video was shot a little over two years ago. His picture is on the antique pump organ in the back. I believe Peete did get to see some of the early comments posted here and was pleased.
Why did you go. We will never know. You guided me since I was 17 years old as a great friend and a mentor. Always loved your sayings, and I remember the last time we talked, you said, "You gotta keep on keepin' on."
I really miss Peete (Thurman). Just about every night we would sit out on his front porch or mine, burn a couple, talk about music and anything else going on in our lives. I live across the street. I shot about 10 hours or so of Wednesday night jams at his place. He had converted his dining room into a music room I think he had 5 amps, plenty of guitars a couple basses, drums, congas and all sorts of things to make music. People just needed to bring their instrument and plug in.
It is with my deepest sorrow that I pass along the news of the passing of "Bluesboy Peete" this past Saturday morning - September 29, 2007. For those of you interested in seeing more video of Peete, please visit the bradleyavebluesband dot com or bluesboypeete dot com.

St Louis will not be the same without you.

Amazing.
Im sorry to hear about Peete.
he seemed like the guy who would try to make the best of things, and would definately be an enjoyable man to be around.
beleive it or not, this video is my only reference, but music brings out alot in ones personality.
nice guitar part.
amazing drummer.
anyone who can play the drums and do vocals at the same time is very talented in my books,
becuase i sing like a broken record and cant keep a beat, lucky for me i have my guitar.
