This video is commendable for the originator's undisputable intent, but is basically worthless overall because it provides nothing of any particular value for any variety of relevant demographic- the audience. Firstly, philosophical neophytes wouldn't know enough philosophy to appreciate the opinions shared here through the arbiter of this music video- not for the new. Also, seasoned philosophical dilettantes would already know all that was mentioned in the video- not for the old.
Did Marx actually say something correct? I mean his ideas destroyed half of the world's countries for 70 years. If they were correct, these countries should keep their former system and prosper by now. But anyway, he can be regarded as a great philosopher, even if he was wrong, in my humble opinion
you must be mentally sick when you listed degenerate Marx as "philosopher" and missed the greatest ever - Sokrates. He and Aristotelos are infinitelly beyond everybody else and are singularities. If you know what they discovered, you will understand.
Hint: Each discovered way to convert human animal to thinking human. Before them there was, not abstract thinking. As your corporate masters lead you into pre - Aristotelian times, you will never understand the meaning of it.
@kozjevime1 Frustrated, one-sided comment, I could say Plato's ideas are nonexistent and pure nonsense, but will not say that, because both philosophers are great. Marx don't care whether you like him or not, he explained the world as it is.
Yes, learning philosophy in Ameriqwa is tacitly prohibited.
Your list ia acceptible except that you threw SARTRE!!! in the pile of REAL philosophres, as you did not know any other name like Hegel or Ouspenski for example.
No chance in Ameriqwa to learn the FUNDATION AND ROOTS of human thought.
THREE the greatest ever in history, lived before asiatic cult christianity spred, destroyed the pinacle of human intelect-Greece.
SOKRATES, ARISTOTELOS, PLATO. Took 2000 years for next - NIETSZCHE
This looks more like greatest philosopers of the last 300 years. I know the closer to our age someone is, the more attached to him we are, but that's no reason to ignore 2200 years of thinking (well, 1200, let's take the middle ages off).
@Rastignac1982 you must be mentally sick when you listed degenerate Marx as "philosopher" and missed the greatest ever - Sokrates. He and Aristotelos are infinitelly beyond everybody else and are singularities. If you know what they discovered, you will understand.

My list of the greatest: 1) Marx, 2) Hegel, 3) Heraclitus, 4) Democritus, 5) Aristotle, 6) Spinoza, 8) Heidegger, 9) Kant, 10) Protagoras. Of course, I like many others, those great and less original...
I like your list. I'll read about the ones I didnt know. However (not complaining)
Martin Heidegger's writings about being and time is considered one of the most important philosophical works of the 20th century.
Aristotle is considered as one of the most important founding figures in Western philosophy. All aspects of Aristotle's philosophy continue to be the object of active academic study today.
Socrates - Plato's dialogues are the most comprehensive accounts of Socrates' teachings.
What's the name of the background music? Thank you in advance!

you put in sean paul, and you left out Schopenhauer. Wow. Plato was a great writer, but the best of "his philosophy" was that of socrates'.
