  • mega drive is a junk,snes owns!!!!!!

  • especially as you fais

  • Zangief looks like my uncle

  • Gosh, Vega vs. Dhalsim is such a mismatch.

  • Jeez, were the audio voices in this game really that bad? O_0

But nonetheless, nice playthrough. Vega's one of my favourite characters.

  • @jowrab What the Vega's yodel? Nothing. He is just yodeling.

  • the sound in this port is pretty horrible :P

  • @Apemopo Sounds fine to me.

  • @Shaft118 The stage music sounds okay (a bit tinny, but I grew up with the SNES version, so I'm used to its deeper sound), but the voices (announcer & fighters) are very muffled/scratchy.

  • @megavolt67 Yeah by deeper you mean, muddy, out of tune and shit tempo.

  • 2:20 YES! YES!

  • Round 2 against Ryu was awesome!

  • Round 2 against Ryu was awesome!

  • wutdafuk teh game sounds fucked the hell up

  • I used to play as Vega a lot; his special moves will not make you any friends. XD

  • the Barcelona Drop is the absolute worst move to be on the receiving end of; it can get you from ANYWHERE on the screeen.

  • Which is why, for a time, my brothers barred me from being Vega. Gee, wonder why? XXD

    Btw, I was just as irritating playing as Blanka, so they were forced to lift the ban. heh. ^^;;

  • I would take that as a compliment dude; being "forbidden" to play as a character?

yeah, a friend of mine refused to play every time I picked Akuma.

inexplicably though he kept playing when I played as Vega on the PS1 collection later on.

maybe he thought he could stop the barcelona drop with a dragon punch or something.

its a powerful move but gotta time it right buddy....

  • True enough. XD I just thought it was funny. In fighting games like Streetfighter 2, I tend to pick out three or four characters and learn their moves to perfection; however, my brothers tried to play all the characters. The characters I played were Vega, of course; Chun Li and Blanka. Chun Li and Blanka tho are quite simple to memorise; Vega's moves took a bit more work.

  • You have a "specialist" mentality eh?

same here; I don't buy that whole "well rounded" bullshit, either in video games or in real life martial arts.

Even if I had to do MMA, I would do Sambo all by itself so that I only have to worry about going to ONE gym and that's it.

Its possible for Karate to beat MMA, thing is, developing "marble pillar" stances, takes too fucking long. A Karateka's stances can be so strong its impossible to take them down, however that takes time.

  • Yeah, that's right; I'm a specialist when it comes to fighting games. I'd rather master a few characters perfectly, than them all imperfectly. ^^

Well, it makes sense to me, anyway. xD

  • that is what I freaking try to get through the thick skulls of MMA guys; true, true, true, fucking true, video games have nothign to do with martial arts in terms of fighting, but where they are related is that they are both skills. If every character in a video game is a "separate style," a player who focuses on only one character, will mop the floor with a "well rounded" player who plays as all of them.

  • Myself personally I have a bare limit of 2 characters now. It used to be 5, but that's too many.

Unfortunately in Street Fighter IV, my two best are Ryu and Sagat.

    how lame is that?

ANYBODY can be good with those guys!

Now a Vega player, THAT takes skill.

  • Thanks. *blushes at all compliments*

Doing so nearly sent me insane, however. XD And got me sore fingers.

  • playing Street Fighter IV, don't underestimate Sagat; he sucks ass when the computer uses him but when you use him, that is a human player?

he's a BEAST. I've brutalized CPU opponents in only 5 seconds using Sagat.

  • Yeah, one of my friends used to favour Sagat. His tiger uppercut is a bitch. XD

  • You should see how lethal he is in SF IV.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 Never played that, tho the videos on here make it look pretty awesome. XD

  • you never played the street fighter collection on the PS1?

sacrilige! A lot of people waited for years for a perfect arcade port of Street Fighter II onto home consoles, then, the PS1 FINALLY made it happen.

how could you not have played when it came out?

  • The loading time was horrible though and theres no speed settings

by the way you guys mind using the PM or Channel comment section, this inbox is getting overloaded lol

  • @TheLegendOfRenegade Sorry. XD

And I have a Genesis so I have the original version of SF2, lulz. XD

  • Decent DKO and its stands for Double Knockout!

  • love vega APE!!! BAM BAM! lol

  • & somehow, Vega became my favorite character.... =)

  • If you master the Barcelona drop, your friends will end up hating you.

    lol.

I had this friend in Jr. high, I used the Barcelona drop on him over and over. He didn't talk to me for two days. LOL. He was pissed. LOL.

  • I never could do that move. When he grabs you and slams you to the ground. I only end up just hitting my opponent

  • The timing and positioning has to be extremely precise; its a good move, but capcom did not do a very good job of setting up the button presses for it. I think you have to push towards your opponent, and a punch button (just like a ground throw), in precisely the right spot, and if you miss the sequence, and the timing by even a split seccond, he only hits them. The timing is really unfair I know; it took me 2 weeks, practicing 20 minutes a day basically dedicating my whole gaming time togetit

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 Lulz. XD Vega was one of the characters I used to exclusively play as; and my brothers hated me cuz I mastered all of his moves and used them exhaustively. XD And yeah, the Barcelona Drop was mostly to blame for that state of affairs. XD

  • agreed, and kudos on your excellent timing; I only mastered the Barcelona Drop and that is what I used to both sail straight to the end of the game while getting hit only like, once or twice, and just flying supplexing my former friend over and over.

  • Decent many DKO

  • Honestly, my favorite character is Dhalsim, mostly because of his 2-hit headbutt attack and his stretching anti-air kick.

  • Oh God what did you do to Ryu? D:

  • I can fluidly play Ryu,Ken,and others.but Vega and Gulie are expert hard.Need Matrix playing hands for that shit.hurts too.

  • ur pretty good with vega man he is one of my fav characters to use.

  • I don't really know why, but my fav character is none other than Ryu... My brother likes E.honda & Vega..

  • Just wondering,is this played on an emulator or the Wii Virtual Console?

  • Emulator.

you can usually tell cause my Megadrive playthroughs look much clearer than other others, the reason is I record the videos within the emulator, no loss of quality

If I ever find a way with Mame, you may see Arcade games on my channel in quality like this

  • cool

  • How do you make AVI files with the Genesis Emulator?

  • Basically what you do is record an input movie of your gameplay (GMV) its called.

then when your finished you go back to the emulator and open the movie to play it back.

go to Record AVI from the menu, once you configure the quality settings you can start dumping it.

  • the only problem is cause the files are so big they have to stop after 1.93 GB and the program crashes (it doesnt affect the file).

but what this means is you have to framskip/fast forward all the way to where you was last before it crashed to dump the next AVI.

Can get really annoying, especially if you go too far then you have to start again from the beginning

  • This is why I record one match and do another recording of another match.

  • oh and another wierd thing. Sometimes you can like complete a whole game, like I completed Earthworm Jim 2 and was ready to dump the AVIs.

then when I replayed the movie, my input wasnt present anymore and it was just standing there and doing dumb shit. I was so pissed off. I dunno what causes it its probably something to do with Button config

Even ones that worked fine before (my Sonic 2 Playthrough) I might have to redo from Mystic Cave onwards thanks to this tomfoolery

  • Dude, try beating it with Guile. Trust me, I'm getting used to some of his combos especially his Fierce-Strong Flash Kick combo.

  • I'll take that as a request! I been brushing up on him since Im not usually good with him and Im not bad now.

Only thing is Im still struggling to pull of the 3 Hit flash kick combo. yknow jump in hit, crouch punch then flash kick. I can only do it with the weak flash kick not the strong one lol

  • It's not hard. Jump at your opponent holding down and hit with a late Fierce Punch, hit the low strong then finish with a short Flash Kick. If you want to know more about Guile's combos, check out the Street Fighter Hyper Fighting video that a Youtuber uploaded. That's how I learned how to do it but the Flash Kick Power Combo is something I can't do.

  • oh short flash kick, yeah thats what I said thats the only one I can do lol

I wanted to do it with a strong FK thats why it didn work I guess

  • That can work too and it can hit four times on large characters.

  • screw all that; just learn to time the flying supplex masterfully and spam it.

No joke; once I got a near perfect run using NOTHING but Vega's flying supplex. I'll admit it was cheap, but it was also beautiful to watch. I never get tired of Vega's flying supplex.

  • lol the flying barcelona drop you mean? I was actually talking about Guile

  • @TheLegendOfRenegade

    its called the izuna drop....

and yes, its beautiful to watch
