  • Bellísimo !!!

  • This is much slower than other performances I have, but the blending is fantastic! I always try to find at least one very slow version of the pieces I really love so as to be able to hear everything/follow the score at some point :) You should be proud!

  • Very soothing and beautiful. Good luck on the Empty Cup! you know

  • Great blend and interpretation, but should this piece be "beaten" in 4 instead of a slow 2?

  • @awyliu IMO this tempo is right on the cusp between feeling "natural" in 4 vs 2. If you want to sing the piece in 2:30, you sing it in 2; if you want to sing it in 3, you sing it in 4. It also has to do with the skill of the choir, but obviously that was't a factor here. Great work.

  • @DJLiko81 Re beating in 2 if it's faster and 4 if it's slower, not so if your musicianship is adequate to feel and maintain the flow of the rhythm. If it's not, keep working on it. Find the Freiburger Barockorchester performance of Corelli's Christmas Concerto on YouTube for a (mostly) superb example of strong rhythmic flow in slow music.

  • Very wll done...Beaurtiful voices. Good intonation. BRAVO!

  • Very pretty. Your voices blend very nicely.

  • Really, really wonderful! Thank you!

  • wowwwwwwwww!!!!

  • Beautiful

  • More than fair, I agree, but the guy who is conducting should perhaps beat a longer value, because it can be heard that they are counting half notes rather than whole notes.

  • This is gorgeous, I love it!

  • really? a conductor, really? i can tell by the quality of the voices that these are skilled singers, noe need for a conductor (who conducts in 4 when the piece should be felt in two). nice ring throughout. good recording. the doubling of the female parts gave them a nice ring and the bass had exceptional tone quality. tenor was good, second to last note was wacky, though. but a truly impeccable performance, best i;ve heard in years.

  • @saotomi5102 i agree, i'm in a high school choir and we sung this piece without a director (and we were told to feel it in 2 XD)

though this is a very talented group, very beautiful

  • molto bene, beautiful voices, great harmony, good dynamic control, sense of climax.

  • Thanks very much for posting this. I find this piece very moving but the choral versions on the tube are poor for the most part. The single voice versions, inlcluding this splendid one, give me pleasure. The American Suspicious Cheese (what a name, go figure) version is similarly impressive.
