Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
Youre putting out some cool vids. I was thinking of trying carpentry, of some sorts, perhaps construction. I'm a "Tooler" at a Areospace company and I also took a course in Autobody repair and spent a couple years in that industry. The Autobody knowledge is very applicable to a "Tooler". As a tooler, you need to be a jack of all trades, to be successful.
Ok I could maybe get into building things and yeah let not have any bunny smears! ...Love the camera view with the steering wheel action.I'll keep watchin if you keep makin these vids!
Very interesting....thanks for letting us in. Ah, a man and his tools...have to agree with the wife, can be very sexy. Nice to see another side to the many faces. =-)
I protest any kind of enslavement of EMPLOYment. It is a PLOY to keep the masses oppressed! As for doing your own thing your own work, your own hours, that would be acceptable.
yorgathecroat yes therapy. Have yo ever seen my Practical skills video? I dont know what channel its on, honestly. It was about 3 months ago. ancient history.
Handy guys are the BEST! I don't mind working in an office, but it would be nicer if they'd let us work from home- then I could sit by the pool, while I work! LOL!
But, I've always been a sucker for a handy guy! It's actually pretty good money, from what I know about construction/heavy equipment operators, here in FL.
Hope you're having a super weekend! Hugs to you & the family! ...Teresa :)
Dude, invest in a sawzall!!!!! It will save you time, money and aggravation. They are only $100 with a cord. Props to the manual labor. Owning your own business is the most rewarding thing I have done. Not just money wise either.
I know about the sawzall. I just have one of the battery-powered ones. Even though it comes in handy where you can't fit a circular saw, it still is limited. Such as for one of these slices I was making on a 15 foot run, right at the floor, horizontally. - it would have cut it at a 15 degree angle. NOT ACCEPTABLE. So I had to make a perforation cut with the drill. You know what I mean?
I also have an iron pipe I have to cut at the base so its flush with the concrete floor. I cut it with difficulty at about 3 inches high, using a hacksaw.
Any ideas? Maybe a new sawzall with a sharp new metal cutting blade?
I would use a rotozip with a metal cutting blade, or a dremel with a metal cutoff blade for tight areas. The metal cutting sawzall blade works good too if you have enough room, it should attach to your cordless.
much respect for manual labor, most of my jobs up until my latest one required it and now that i think about there's still some of that. i've washed dishes, dry cleaned clothes, moved boxes of screws and sold newspaper subscriptions at some point, that one was mostly actually talking to people so that made it almost enjoyable. now i have just enough work to get by doing freelance PA bullshit for a production house. thats what an associates degree gets me, whatever.
why you can hardly do 10 videos a week??? this kind of crap is why i can do about one video a week. altho i'm not in construction. more like destruction.
I can relate to the hard labour being in construction myself. Drywall/metal framing is my main trade but you now it goes. Once you do one trade you might as well do them all, lol. I actually like the hard labor creativity, just can't stand the people in the indusrty. I've pretty much turned skills into just flipping houses and forget the 9-5or should I say 5-5, lol. It's nice to relax at the computer to exercise any other skills and creativiy thats left.
"Luckily I haven't hit any animals" Then they was a slight bumping noise. lol. Sorry. Just out of interest how did you get your first job in construction and what training did you have to do?
I do hard labour 8 hours, on my feet all day long, never sit down once....so this right here, the videos and stuff, this is my relaxation and entertainment and learning all rolled into one.
And those headphones man, we HAVE to wear those ALL day for Health and Safety rules and regs...I tell you now, I friggin HATE them. They make my ears all sweaty and they make my safety glasses dig into my head. The job itself is okay though, gotta pay the bills right? :)
Yep, been doing it almost 18 years now, not with the same people, but basically the same thing. Oh and yeah, it is a horrible sensation running over roadkill, I hate that :(
I used to be safety. Hearing protection shouldn't do that to you, and no wonder you hate wearing it. I did this accidentally once, trying to save money for the taxpayer, bought protection that wasn't as expensive as something more comfortable. Everyone complained about the discomfort and I had buy something else for them almost immedately. My mistake. They deserve the best anyway. My bad.
