He probably didn't watch this series or the second season of Index completely. I counted eight railguns so far: five in this series (the two in the vid plus the three against Thelestina in the season finale), once in the first episode of Index, once in Index S2E7 and once in Index S2E21. And that's not counting her aborted attempt against Accelerator in Index S1E17. The number will probably increase when Railgun II and Index III come out (or as the NT novels keep coming).

I can't help but criticize this anime so much. Electric powers are the shit; however, in this universe they would be insanely complicated.

Do they ever mention the fact that all she could really be doing is altering the electric potential of herself and her target. Or that it would be so much easier not to shoot the electricity. For that matter how did she even get that kind of power.

The only problem is, no matter how awesome Mikoto and the experiment arc are, it can never make up for the abomination that is Index. Sorry Index fans, but when your only reason for being is to bite peoples' heads and act as a moe MacGuffin, you know it's time to throw in the towel.

That said, Mikoto is a really awesome character to follow whenever the writers don't reduce her to a cardboard type A tsundere.... I'm looking at you, second season. -_-;; *raises flame barrier*

Having watched this anime, I have to wonder just how many other anime characters out there Misaka would just totally wreck...

Seven Seas has the Railgun manga...should be out June 2011. Funimation has the anime (as well as Index)...no release date yet.
