I don't know if Newt Gingrich will survive the attack of the popular conservative pundits who have a little more formed conservative ideology than the average Republican voter. However, I think a lot of the Tea Party people do not like Obama in large part because of his race (which I don't blame them for) in combination with his policies and rhetoric. I think a lot of them would look the other way for a white Republican candidate that has more "pro American" conservative rhetoric.
