The solos are the perfect combination of technique and melody. That's my goal - to be able to solo like this. Thanks for the vid; its like a personal lesson.
Hey Damian great bass playing, you are one of my heroes. Love you technique. What is the name/model of your ergonomic guitar strap? I need on pronto. Please my six string Hohner B Bass VI is hurting my shoulders, thanks.
@DonaldWaughMusic It's still in the works (just got past the prototype phase) and will show up on the gruvgear website when it's available!! Thanks so much for the kind words man!
@andreking84 I'm not sure if I've tried the newest Hartke gear. They make decent stuff! I definitely prefer the Aguilar stuff, for my sound and for reliability.
Thanks man!! Actually, he's my uncle. He's a very sweet dude. Lucky to have seen him play growing up a ton in NYC.. (and of course, as an adult these days whenever possible)
Thanks Damian, I enjoyed your piece.Victor Wooten will be proud. Good demonstration of modal scales. I had forgotten modes would start from steps of the dominant key. As "old school" also I am befundled by fast slap/pop playing. The pickup taps helped a lot, triplets will come with practice. Off subject, do you have family in New Jersey, the Erskine's were map makers for George Washington in the Revolution. Thanks, Peter Zabriskie
Hey man! Sorry it took me so long to respond (I NEVER look at my youtube stuff... didn't even really know people were leaving msg's!) Thanks for the kind words!!

Wow man, very good in fo on here... I don't even play bass, and I just felt like I can apply what I heard for me as a drummer! Keep doing what you do, your great man!
Hey man! Sorry it took me so long to respond (I NEVER look at my youtube stuff... didn't even really know people were leaving msg's!) Start SLOW! Harmonics work well on the 4th, 5th, 7th and 12th frets, so start there. Don't puch all the way doen on the string, but hold your finger touching the string above the fret (if it doesn't sound right, move around a little until it does) and pluck hard (but not crazy hard) with the right hand. Experiment. ONce you get it, you got it!
