  • Cool. It's good to know what to expect. You looked pretty exhausted there but all the moves you were doing appeared to be instinctual. I've had about 45 hours of training in the past 6 1/2 months so I should be testing soon. Was doing tae kwon do for 3 months before that and as exhausting as that was it doesn't even come close to Krav training. Can't say I'm looking forward to being as worn out as you looked here. There's been a few times in training that I've nearly thrown up.

  • FUCK YEAH LAMB OF GOD!

  • all i have being doing is self teaching my self km i live in a country where there is not system for civi s to learn unless ur in the armed forces.... i want to learn so bad and earn my expert level belt, and here u get to have all the fun, 2 hours drills and then the test just not fair..... i love krav maga

  • about to test on Saturday, I am little worried about my condition rather than the test itself, are there any breaks hahah?

  • Im testing for my yellow belt in 4 more classes watching this video made me more mentally prepared for what to expect and the music got me pumped thanks a shit ton dude!

  • @terminator567 thanks. My guess is I will start at 2x/week and every 3 or 4 weeks add 1/week or however much my fitness can handle.

  • lamb of god goes great with krav.

  • thats pretty sick man! I hope you passed....Ive been doing krav maga since august. Im gonna go for my Yellow belt pretty soon any advice?

  • wow cool stuff i want

  • Good job, I know Krav testing is a challenge!

  • How many times a week do people train in order to get proficient? And typically how many months?

  • Proficient, 2x a week. That would provide decent preparation for a street confrontation, after 3 months. :)

  • thanks. I assume that doesn't account for out of shape I am?! lol.

  • usually for begginers there is a choice of 5 classes a week depending on your location. it depends how many days of the wek you go aswell.

  • looks great... keep up the good work. btw loved the choice of music same stuff i listen to when training!

  • Thanks!

  • looks tough, exciting though too!

  • Wow, never expected so much animosity aimed towards a video intended to let others know what the test was like.

  • The class i go to use to be with the organisation IKMF, not we have changed to KMW, We use to get graded P1,P2,

P3 now we have changed we get graded Yellow belt, Orange Belt and so on, so i know its different

  • Depends on the organisation, they will get graded differently

  • It depends on the Krav organization the main civilian org. in the U.S. is Krav Maga Worldwide, which has a Belt/Level system as described.

  • Hell yeah there are belts, but just like Ruben says, they are more like levels of preparation. To all the doubters of how tough this is, my test is 4 hours long. Non-stop pain....

  • Dude, this was my test too!! I caught a few glimpses of myself. (My son somehow came across this link.)

I take it you've trained mostly at Columbia rather than Owings Mills.

See you in level 2 :-)!

  • in krav maga there are belts!!! but it isn't like karate or other martial arts

belts in krav maga are like levels of preparation

  • Can you explain what you mean by 'levels of preparation' with KM belts?

  • in krav maga there is nothing such as a yellow belt.

  • OF COURSE THERE IS....it has a whole sequency of belts(yellow,orange,green....)...it may be that where u do it...if u do...the sequency is different...
