i curl my lashes the same way because that way they look curled unlike some girls who hold the lash curler in the same spot which makes their lashes look SQUARED!!! eww

i always go right down at the roots and clamp till my lashes look ridiculous, cuz i hv asian lashes so i need make it MORE curly, BTW anyone who wants longer lashes i recomment the ardell brow and lash accelerator, it work like boom and is so cheap i got it for 3.99 on amazon, its so worth it! :D

I curl my lashes similarly!! but instead of doing it bit by bit until you reach the tips, i sort of slide it through to the tip while maintaining a soft grip. Hard to explain but it works the same :D
