  • sucky

  • What's the difference between Verizon Fios and AT&T U-verse?

  • o and one more thing i never got my 100 dollar rebate fee i went throu hell and back printing out this two page form sending it in then reinstatement my clam this whole huges net is a fraud

  • which flavor of U-Verse has the fastest upload speed, without needing the top flavor of download speed. All I wish to do is upload video's not so concerned about download speeds... Which is the best price point?

  • While your download and upload increased, your ping actually got worse. Went from 28 to 46 ms. I game a lot online with shooters (MW3) and fighters(Ninja Storm 2) so this is key for me. My ping right now is 75, so you can imagine my frustration I sometimes have on MW3 >_<, even though I get anywhere from 3:1- 5:1 K/D ratios.

  • @number1glenn

Actually my ping has sense gotten a lot worse. It hovers around 120-140ms.

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh whoa 120ms?! thats got to be annoying compared to what u were getting at first. Thats some pretty bad latency/ping.

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh But, ping should depend on how far away a server is from your location, right? Meaning, if you have a high ping with speed test's servers, that wouldn't mean you'd have a high ping with Infinity Ward's servers... right?

  • Mine does .32mbps. Haha i have a terrible internet speed.

  • @hoopzers3

    lol mine does 0.03 mbs

  • wow the upload for uverse is no where near comcast. Im so glad i got comcast instead of uverse internet. For the 12 meg comcast internet I get 25.84 Download and 3.68 upload.

  • @JWiLLfoReaL depends where you are i guess. I have the 15 meg cable and get around 20 download and .98 upload. Right now there's a problem with my connection for about 3 weeks now so I'm dropping my cable, for a slower, but hopefully more stable U-verse connection @ 12mbps. TWC really pissing me off right now lol.

  • @Jayjon81 If I was you I would stick to cable. I had DSL and wanted faster internet. Comcast and uverse wasn't in my older area I was lving in. When I moved I had the choice of uverse or comcast. I chose comcast because the upload was so fast. Even on the highest uverse internet. Uverse cant compete with comcast upload. Even the download. If I was you I would just stick to my cable. All of them have their problems. Even if you sharing bandwidth with neighbors on cable, i havent had problems yet.

  • nice network switch :P I got the same one..and that is one ugly ass modem...

  • use speakeasy its the same owners as this speed test site. but it's more reliable they say, not as jumpy as the one in the video.

  • We used to have Insight Cable 10mbps. The speed varied aton, one moment 10 one moment 500kbps. With cable, if aton of your neighbors are on the internet the same time you are, your internet and latency can drastically decrease. We switched to ATT DSL and get 6mpbs, but it's a CONSTANT 6mbps not varied. We were going to get U-Verse but it was astronomically more expensive. Now with DSL, the farther your are from the central stations the slower the speed, but we are right across the street from it

  • i have ATT DSL and its like 1 mb/s dwnload

  • We're switching to U-Verse from 'Fast Access' on Tuesday.

I've been thinking about uninstalling all the 'Fast..' software before activating the U-V.

Is this a good step or should I just let it be?...Did you?

Would be nice to have the HD space.

  • @duhzzzz

I say delete it. U-verse isn't optimal for it.

  • comcast is 22.02 and 4.00

  • I'm skeptical If my area would provide the speed I want...20mbps or greater

  • @tatsumakisempyukaku

I live in a nine year old house in Green Park, Missouri, USA (near St. Louis), and this is as good as I can get...

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh charter internet is way better

  • AT&T ROCKS!!!! AT&T IS AWESOME I <3 YOU AT&T!!!

  • @MultiGooooooooooooog me to i cant wait to get my old att back i have huges net and i have something called fair access policy and i can only use inter net for short period of time before it boots me off they are charging me a 300 dollar cancellation fee for getting rid of service and no tech is coming out to get this NASA of a dish out my yard so i haft to dig dish out get wires out my wall then i have a hole out side my house with cables showing its like im in hell

  • You do know AT&T U-Verse is a version of DSL right? Its either ADSL2+ or VDSL.. i used to have AT&T DSL at 6 megs down.. Stable connection but always bogged down due to low bandwith. Got 18 MB Cable now and have not looked back :D

  • AT&T u-verse is garbage. Its lightning fast for the first couple of months, and after that, its slower than dial-up.

  • @rb21122b lolwut your internet connection does not just magically slow down unless there's some other problem. troubleshoot it w/ ATT support.

  • I used to get 127kbs with this, then today I switched to Xfinity internet and get 20.34mbps. I really do NOT recommend DSL internet. Switch to cable internet! :D

  • i got 18 mbps internet

  • @DWJOKER23 how much does it cost?

  • @matix525 idk not alot its pretty cheap i was gonna get 24 mbps but it is not availble in my area ):

  • Do you work at fox 2 st.louis by any chance?

  • @sirjj9050

    No. I'm 14.

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh what software do you use to show multiple screens within a video?

  • @501sai He probably is using procaster. google it.

  • Ha, you got this song from a Toms Hardware guide video, when they are comparing a Athlon Vs. a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition.

  • haha this is slow my comcast goes to 22mb/s

  • Is this with the U verse 12 Mbps d/l 800 kbps upload plan?

  • @djpablito

Yes it is but for $205 a month I could get 18 down. I currently pay $200...

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh Woah you mean $20.50? Or actually two HUNDRED dollars?

  • @djpablito

Two-Hundred United States Dollars. It's a full bundle - TV, home phone, and 12 mbps Internet.

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh lol, im in brazil and i have full tv, phone and 20 mb of internet for ~ R$ 300, what is .. almost $160 :|

  • I Live in St. Louis and in Olivette ur internet speed is the exact same! with uverse did you upgrade to the 12 mbps one? and did you previously have the dsl elite?

  • @035071

This video was made in St. Louis, MO. And yes I did.

  • I hardly find this a good comparison. No matter who is supplying your internet connection when you pay more money, you're going to get higher speeds.

  • @EndlessDistress

I hardly find that a good comment. I pay $30 less total now, for your information.

  • At&t Internet is capping Down time. penalty of $10.

  • At&t Internet is capping Down time. penalty of $10.

  • At&T Internet put Cap on how much Down time u can use . if u go over the the Cap at&t will charge you 10.oo .

  • atnt is a liar..the first 2 months was pretty fast..and then they will change a slower internet for you

  • lol my att dsl runs at 1.5mbps lmao. BUT on May 4th im getting the 12mbps package :D. cant wait lol.... nice video.

  • my neigbour haveing 10/10, but hes getting 92/49 on speedtest :D becuase the station is on hes mark :P

  • Weird how your ping went up on Uverse. That sucks. Oh well....

  • Im so GLaD that i have the AT&T u-verse

  • @iTechNetwork

    Me too!

  • My comcast wifi 802.11g is 7.8mbps download, 3.33mbps upload

  • @thatapplegeek

    Nice upload speed.

  • My AT&T DSL isn't even that fast.

  • I better show this to my parents. We are still on DSL! =(

  • @alpaljl

Make sure you tell them that this test was done on WiFi. When I did it on my desktop with Ethernet, I got about 1/mbps faster. Just a little difference, but still faster.

  • @WindowsAndMacintosh Um... hate to say this, but they won't know what that means. My parents aren't as "up-to-date" on all the technology like we are. I will though. Yes, my channel is filled with elevators, but I'm a major computer geek.

  • @alpaljl

Well, just explain that with a wire instead of wireless, the Internet is even faster than shown in the video... lol

And about your DSL not even being this fast, that was supposedly "AT&T High-Speed Internet."
