They have a history already decided on what the next four years will be like, and come election time they'll remember this fiction of their own concoction rather than actual history.
For example, if Obama managed to miraculously reverse the course of the recession (I don't really have high expectations there, there's no miracle cure for this problem) it wouldn't make a speck of difference. Come next election time the narrative would be that the economy was bound to recover, and Obama actually made things worse.

It is on both sides. But it is by far more extreme in the red states.
The people featured in that video were not random nutjobs, they were the majority on the right.

The thing about red states is they're a shining example of capitalism. Look at Texas. It's very conservative, and it's economy isn't in the gutter like New York and California's because of Republican policies.

Texas receives more money than just about any other state because it has more citizens than just about any other state, except California. Per capita it receives the ninth least amount of money. Texas turned down Obama's stimulus money because it didn't need it.
Our strong conservative policies have saved us from the economic troubles. California and New York are very conservative, but they're both out of money.
A lot of democrats didn't vote for Obama because he was "not ready".
