  • great rifles mate.hope ill get a mr556 soon

  • Hi, started preppin after watching your and USfreedom22 videos, Started training on firearms this year, I got a Marlin XS7 (.308), SW Sigma (9mm) and Marlin 795 (.22lr). I really am looking forward to get a battle rifle now, I live in california and I hate the detachable mag law. What would be a optimal tradeoff between price and quality for an intermediate round. your suggestion will be greatly appreciated

  • Great vid and very valid points you are making as well.

  • I couldn't agree with you more man. Everyone should own at least 1 rifle. btw.. what do you think about the .22 LR marlin Papoose??

  • @gowdaflow it's hard to go wrong with a 22

  • That is one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • Dude, just the sight of a weapon might mean the mob organizes and tries to come after you for your guns while you're sleeping. I guess...that's what night visions for?

  • @thetiniestbullfrog If a mob can get to me while I am sleeping, they deserve the guns. But they might end up with the bullets instead.

  • great taste with last of the mohicans to prove your point

  • Whats SHTF? I don't get it.

  • @timothychong48 That is because you are a KID. And kids should not be on this channel. Go ask your mom and dad and quit wasting my time.

  • @timothychong48 when shit hits the fan there you go kid now go tell your mom you heard a cuss word

  • @timothychong48 Lmao at Yankee's response. its when "shit hits the fan" kid

  • I want that GAS BLOCK!!!!

  • its the last of the mohecans dont think i spelled that right

  • what movie is that your showing clips from? looks like one I would like to see....

  • @donaldphinney I think its last of the mohicans

  • @Donatellangelo I am smart enough to use complicated machines. I like them. And if you aren't smart enough to understand that how guns made people free. I don't have the time to waste explaining it to you.

  • makes me wanna watch " the last of the mohicans"...

  • @Sgtrambom60 I have an Armalite 50 but I am not going to be carrying it around and I won't be sitting in my house with it waiting to burn.

  • @WinchesterRanger First off, it's not a 5.56 professor. Second I am not referring to the miltary designation MBR. I am not in the military, This is a MAIN BATTLE RIFLE FOR THE SHTF. If you listen more, you would not make such an ass of yourself. And lastly your sfaety standards do not apply to me and you sure as hell better not watch the rest of my videos. Dangerous stuff.

  • What films are you showing in this video?

  • Does that .308 AR 15 work as a decent hunting rifle? how large of Game do you think it can take down?

  • I live in IL! I worked on an archeological dig this summer it was great! I'm so glad that you have these artifacts! My dad died when I was young, but the stuff I have of his reminds me of him. I can't get rid of any of it because it's his legacy. I like your videos man, keep it up! Obviously we will disagree on somethings, but I think that you're a good man.

  • nice video, I like your style.... you make a convincing argument even though I need no convincing :)

  • Good vidio. Verrry good vidio.

  • all i have is rifles and shotguns so im set

  • like the video

  • the last of the mochicans contains a relevant message.

  • like this vid brother if you ever get chance if u have not already project apple seed

  • This is MY boom stick lol

  • this is one video thats motivated me to buy a new .308! I compared the ar10 vs M1A vs FNAR-I ended up with the SX-AR-the best MBR for the money in my opinion-comes with a heavy barrel(fn's most accurate bolt action),a precision version of the BAR action,a 10-20-30 round magazine in a autoloader chambered in .308! FN claims 1 moa or better GAURANTEED!!

  • Looks like a good common sense video wake up

  • I'm a HF radio engineer and ham radio operator, gunsmith recognised as court expert and much more....even a Lay Minister qualified to give 'Last Rites.' I honestly have no clue as to what.......moment.......thinking.......SHTF......I am ENLIGHTENED!

My service rifle is M1a/M14 Ultramatch with 24X scope. My service pistol is Colt 1911A1 GCNM with factory 0.22 conversion

  • @yankeepepper I hav had same concerns about mine. Mine stays zeroed but the rough treatment over a prolong period of time I hav a feeling mine would go 2 the scope grave. I hav looked @ some rubberized mil. scopes but the nice ones arent cheap. The 1 I saw @ a gunshow was about $240 n had laser pointer n illuminated reticle n variable 3 -9 x 44mm. Another thing 4 my wish list. My bday is in July, maybe I can convince family 2 get it. lol.

  • @yankeeprepper that looks like a really nice scope. What is it? Do u think it will hold up uner abuse in a shtf situation? I hav thawt about this 4 mine n hav thawt about adhering rubber strips in strategic places on the scope 2 absorb impact. Sort of like rubber baby buggy bumpers for a scope. Yeah I know say that 3 times real fast. ok, i can.

  • @llarlamon7758 It is not a high end scope, runs about 80 bucks. It works well enough and really brings you in close, but I do not believe it would hold up in the SHTF. After 20 to 30 shots it noticably is off center and has to be re-zeroed. If you want a good scope, you have to spend the money. 200 bucks or more IMHO.

  • Nice video man! People if your on a serious budget like me and unemployed like me and want a quality semi automatic rifle go with Saiga. The Saiga runs brand new for 350 for the AK 7.62x39 & the .308 runs 550 Read reviews, post & watch videos on this weapon. It's a quality AK.

  • What I meant to say is;

The M-1 and m-14 are GREAT rifles.

I picked the AR and AK as good platforms in all areas to be considered, parts, affordability etc.

  • Yes. these are fine choices, but there are not my favorite to shoot. They meet all the criteria that a person would want for a SHTF senario

  • Ya know - What you portray here, is old west gun stuff, which may have worked then - but the reality today is so different, that you can't even make a comparison !

Sure, you can have your main battle rifle, but if you think you are a match against military power that is maneuvering to come against you - you are up shit creek, and you will only achieve one thing - to die now, rather than die later ! Of course , I could see where one might want to make that choice !

  • rolynstone,

In the situation a lot of us see, a goodly portion of the military, if not the majority of them would be on "our side."

Ron Paul, as a Constitutionalist received more funding from the military than any other candidate. They would much more likely take the side of the people than a commander asking them to attack the people - to which they belong.

  • If it ever comes down to "the people" vs the military, I agree, that it could happen as you describe - My concern, is that it won't be U. S. soldiers that are forced to obey orders , but foreign troops [ already on our soil ] who would have no national allegiance towards Americans with guns , and would do as they are ordered -

Waco was a display of what is to come - only , this time, it won't be FBI or ATF , but Serbs or Columbians , etc., trained by U.S. military -

    Lock and load !

  • Again, the foreign troops would have to get through ours. And I say "good luck with that."

I do see the possibility, or even probability of the government attempting to reign in the people, but, I also see the military, taking sides with the people and the Constitution. That is one of the things that hangs up Washington - they have already branded returning vets as potential "terrorists." I see that to mean that they know that they are aware of who stands between them and their agendas.

  • Great collection. Every society that gave up their guns, eventually were murdered. From Stalin, Mao to Hitler. They all wanted the guns. They say, history repeats itself. If they take our guns, we will die. American history show that the main battle rifle is what gave us our independence and freedom. Give up your rifle - you give up your freedom. I have and AR 15 and no one is taking it away.

  • Great video, I love the Urp clip.

    Lets all go tegether.

    5 stars.

  • Yes sir, VERY appropriate that you used that clip of Daniel.

    Good job!

  • Like your style...............

  • 5 stars. Great vid. Over here the options are so restricted, you might as well have pea shooters and a white flag!!!

  • LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • ...then what is the 308 that you are showing in your Choosing a MBR vdo ?...

  • The 308 is a DPMS make of an AR platform. A very fine rifle.

    The AK is a preban 7.62 x 39

  • ...are the AK parts interchangeable with Saiga ?...

...I never even knew of the Saiga 'til yesterday when I googled after watching your vdo...

...the gun law advise was not on youtube but a gun dealer site...

...I will do some more research on the subject..

...thank you for you efforts to reach people with info....

...I still have my old Springfield that my dad had from the war... and a 1911...

  • Keep that old Springfield, THAT'S a Rifle!

    I REAL rifleman's rifle.

Saiga's are crap and their parts....including most importantly magazines do not interchange with AK's. This defeats the purpose of picking the AK as a SHTF common weapon.

The "best" AK's are said to be made in Bulgaria and Yugoslavia now, so I have heard.......??? But there is so much hype and BS around AK's it's a pain in the butt.

Mine works great for what it is. But I have had to "work" it over.

  • because the people who make AK make Saiga

  • @BurroBurrito1, huh?

  • ...is that a Saiga 308 ?... and where did you find a folding stock for it ?... I google and one sales site said they were not legal in Calif... is this so ?...

  • Parts for AK's can be found almost anywhere. I bought a super cheap Romanian folding stock for my super cheap AK off the internet. Try your nearest gun dealer or gunbroker .dot com

I have no idea what your local gun laws are and nor would I trust any advice on YOUTUBE when it comes to firearm restrictions. The best source of info for firearm restriction would be your local gun dealer or club.

  • nice vid i shoulda watched it sooner

  • when will the next vids on the rifles you recommend be up? im looking at getting one myself soon so itll be good timing...

  • Hold off until you see my 2 cents on rifles. The rifle itself is a small part compared to the calibur. I am going to try my best to get this across.

I have been busy but will put it up soon.

    Thanks Ken.

  • Crap! lookin good!!!! A hole between the eyes at 300 yds? I wouldnt want to find out!!

  • is that a dpms i see back there? lol nice wheres that vid at?

  • I have my main battle rifle: the AK-47

I live in the country 30 mins from the nearest store with cleaning supplies and the like. It's good to have something that will fire a lot longer than other weapons.

  • If I were you.........I would stock up on cleaning supplies next time your in town.

  • thanks for the video, looking forward to the next one.

  • i only hope you are honest in your AR/AK vid im tired of seeing the AK getting bashed. i went with a saiga 308 i love it you got range stopping power and its an AK built to keepon going. i also have a bushmaster AR its a great gun for the range but that is about it.

  • Well, the one thing you can count on with me is honesty.

  • The AR and AK should never be compared anyway. I'll PM u details on why I think this if u want.

    I love my AK!

  • I too went with the Saiga 308 and I too am sick of hearing people slam AK's.

  • I look forward to your next vids. Im glad Doc favorited this vid to us. I was wondering, do you think that by making these vids exposes you to being a target by our evil police state? I want to buy one but fear having my name on a list....I have always flown below the radar and kept to myself since I have never trusted the state, but what are my options to obtain proper defensive weapons? Thanks

  • I do not believe so. There just arn't enough resources available. Could I be on a list somewhere as a possible? Sure. After all, I am a conservative, a christian and a vet. According to the last report, I could be a "possible". But I stand proud with the 100 million + gun owning Vets, christians and conservatives. Go to a gun show and buy from a private owner. It won't be cheap, there are no more deals...but you can get a gun without reg.

  • One more thing. The old saying is more true than ever....

It is better to have a gun and not need it...than to need a gun and not have one.

    Goodluck out there.

  • by the way on this video. Very true. It is not concievable to have supplies and a safe hideaway without having the right protection in the form of rifle/s. AR, AK, FN/FAL, 7.62, 5.56, whatever it is you're going to need it. "When a soldier has confidence in his aim fear takes a walk"

  • Btw I thought of this scene today, YP :D

    watch?v=ppMQ2Jvekfg

  • When I think of guns and gun control, I never think of hollywood as much as I think about history...

    watch?v=Aa5XqZ19DqY&feature=related

    Governments love gun control.

  • Good ole Hollywood. Wood from the holly tree. Used in magic staffs such as Merlin's to cast spells and mesmorize. They've done a helluva job on this population, haven't they? :)

  • Yeah. Even more recent history of the Serb-Croat war and the ethnic cleansing which occured showed that the "never again" was only lip service. If there was a case of everything hitting the fan, arms would be very very useful indeed. I just feel it's more likely that Government will try to avoid a meltdown of that kind at all costs, opting instead for keeping everyone sedated with entertainment and other distractions so that an alcatraz world can be built up without real opposition.

  • I tend to agree with you as well on that. The powers that are shifting the pieces around the globe only cause riots and chaos in places were they want to lower the populations it seems. They would rather keep industrial countries in tact and producing....sedated is a good description. I have a secondary theory that if the U.S. doesn't cooperate....it's destruction is plan B.

  • It is important to get your local sheriff on your side. At least write them a letter putting them on notice that you ,as one of the people of the county, are reminding them of their oath to the constitution and their oath to uphold the common law of the people. Sheriff Mack videos are great if you need to get info about what a Sheriff is/does.

  • Get to know the sheriff first. That line of thought could backfire and get you killed one day. Some of these sheriffs are not on our side. But still you have a decent point as long as you are careful.

  • thanks I agree on those points....

  • Ur right about sheriff Mack, but unless they make public statements about where they stand, like all men, they are not to be trusted. Im sure there are trustworthy law enforcement, but they are few and far between. I have first hand knowledge of this and I am sickened by what I know. "By their fruit you shall know them"......

  • yes you are right, maybe some stuff should be stated anonymously in regards to letters, what if we all wrote anonymous letters stating that we are putting them on notice, maybe they would think twice about turning pro-NWO...

  • Not a bad idea.....Hmmm....All I know is we gotta do something before we have no ability to make change. I tremble for the safety of my kids and my nation.....Thanks my brutha.....

  • thanks for this video

"I don't call myself subject to much at all." Yes!

we are not subject to anything but ourselves

we relinquish subject status and return it to the thievery corporations like a mirror

  • really interesting video, shame we dont have the option over here.

I love American history, especially its founding. It is such a shame that some many people dont know or understand why America became a free people. Why citizens ownership of guns is important to freedom.

  • That lack of interest in history is why the world is repeating it's bad ideas.

I thought about you when I was making this video. The disarming of the English People's is one of the sigle most important victory for those seeking a one world government. The English have produced some of the world's greatest hero's and leaders. "You can not break into the strong man's house, until you have bound the strongman first"

  • great quote, where is it from?

One very big problem with gun control is not that it just removes guns from responsible citizens but that it leaves guns in the hands of Criminals. Where I live a lot of the local shops have been robbed at gun point. The shop keeper, the citizen has not means of defense.

police are to busy to attend. I saw on the BBC news today that security firms are now patrolling the streets because the police dont. Search "Concern over 'private police' firms"

  • also, search "Just one in 58 police is patrolling the streets", from the telegraph

  • Matthew 12;29-

"Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house."

    Jesus

I believe that is the way it's planned. If citizens can't defend themselves what are they going to do? They are going to ask fro more government protection and police. Perfect for a growing government.

  • next time someone throws Romans:13 at you, show em that one :)

  • Gun ownership prevents intrusion into one's house, but can it stop the slow creep of legislation that gets decided behind closed doors,YP? We've been disarmed in Europe, but are armed Americans protected from decisions made about their lives behind closed doors in Government? Choice appears to be the best weapon, and the majority of us folks both in Europe and in the U.S appear to be choosing out of apathy to sit back and allow. Guns decide at 'crunch time', but can they 'prevent' such a day?

  • Nothing on Earth can withstand apathy.

    When Good Men do nothing..............

I personally hope I never have to use my rifle, for othe than shooting holes in paper or an occasional deer or two every year.

The gun is only when ALL...ALL of the peaceable paths have been exhausted.

However, there is a confort knowing that that if I die in those circumstances, I die on my feet a free man. Adn that those coming to take my freedom, had better be ready to trade their life for mine.

  • I believe that they will have to disarm the citizens before they can move past the point of a virtual prison. History has the examples to back that belief. The government has to disarm before they can back the people into the corner and slam the gate.

Americans will never, give up their arms. Even if a law is passed saying guns are illegal......in fact it is well know I think by the government, that this would be the end of government, since this would rally the people together.

  • well said. I hope all you Americans do keep your guns and that the people and the government respect the constitution of the USA. But I am not holding my breath frankly.

I watched Red Drawn (after seeing a clips in one of your vids) last week for the first time. All this reminds me of when the commies when to peoples homes to get the guns. They knew where to go because everyone is on a register.

  • dureing the viet nam war 500,000 war age youngsters gathered in washington d.c..can we get 500,000 to go today ? hell no.if they were as close to whats going on today as they were then,we could get that number to walk on washington,a million man march went,it's time all of america marched as one black and white brown and everyother color.we have fought long enough,it's time to come together peeps.govt has kept racial stuff going wethepeople can stop it,GOD BLESS FREEMEN AN WOMEN..223 hard find

  • Gun ownership was once common through Europe.Various local resistance movements during WWII could not have operated without stashes of arms (however old).I'd guess much of 'Western' Europe is now the most disarmed it has ever been in history.Still though, places like Austria and Switzerland have lots. UK matches Iran and China in terms of how few weapons individuals own. Most changes were set and dried in cement before I was born, meaning the only weapon I've fired was an AK-47 in another country.

  • We will all share the same fate. "We" as in Free men. The disarmament is not happening through force, it's happening through choice. More and more people are choosing "promised security" through their government over Liberty.

There has been a very successful campaign to turn us against each other in order to accomplish the exchange for our Liberty. And that has been to turn us against each other, conser. vs. liberal, athiest vs. believer, etc. etc. On Issues that don't matter to Liberty.

  • Still there is Hope.....it has always been a minority to save the day, like the your example of the Resistance, a small group of Free men accomplished much.

  • I wonder how many states all ready list these weapons/magazines illegal - I know you'd be locked up for years here in New Jersey.

  • New Jersey has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the Nation. That is one of the reasons why their murder rate is so high.

    Much like Chicago.

However, we can't blame this on the government. The people in New Jersey are responsible for these laws. They were not forced upon them, but voted for them.

I live in a state were I can carry my rifle openly. If I lived in New Jersey, I would vote with my feet. I worked and lived in Chicago for almost 10 years. I moved.

  • With that being said. The U.S. Constitution is there to protect you from the government and the Mob rule of people. We are not a democracy, but a Republic. So in essence, New Jersey and the people are violating the highest LAW of the land by denying you your Constitutional rights.

  • I think that in NJ (like in NY) you are permitted to have weapons like an AR15 as long as it is not within the metropolitan area. For instance, I'm sure many people in north west NJ, near the border of PA and NY state have them, legally. You can still get the 30 round mags delivered to your home too. Just gotta find the right companies ;)

  • Oh you can OWN a gun; you just can't USE it anywhere in the state! I'm a Vet, so I'm all ready on the Homeland Insecurity list as being a "domestic terrorist" And there is now a growing movement at both state and federal levels to take weapons away from Veteran's who have PTSD; so I may even have to give up by bb gun, too !

  • You have my deepest respect sir. I have long been in awe of such heros. Thank you, and you can call on us anytime should the need arise.

  • "I am Legend" is a great example of a battle rifle in a WROL situation. He tries to shoot animals for food. And he also shoots many zombies

  • However, Will Smith died in the end because he was not equiped properly. Had he had a good stash of Bass Ale, had would have been able to vanquish the Zombies properly.

  • I think losing his dog was part of that too. I felt so bad when his dog died. He was a loyal pet though. He fought till the end.

  • Once again you've hit the nail on the head!

  • Damn that's a hell of a lot of ammo. :)

    5 stars

  • copy that. 1040

  • very good video. i hope people pay attention....

  • very important message. Thanks Yankee

  • I have a AR-15 as my battle gun and a bunch of pmag 30 round clips. I also now have 700 rounds of ammo. Protecting what you have is extremely important. Good video Yankeeprepper i'm glad you addressed this. I know a few people who are ready food and water wise but they are anti gun. I don't think they understand if something were to happen they'd lose everything by the ones who didn't ready themselves.

  • anti-gun is to only empower your attacker. That's crazy.

  • i think its just as important if not more so to connect with ones community before any collapse . Unfortunately this model of capitalism has us trained that the only community we need is in our wallet or under our roof. . .But yea, its easier to collect bullets than build community,

  • Now we're talking some fun.

"If a bear invades your camp, you don't need to be faster than the bear, you only need to be faster than the slowest camper."

    There are always easier targets.

  • EXCELLENT point about not being an easy target.

  • Hey yank did i get deleted ???

    thanks ...

  • Here in Cali, you need a pistol, or three.

  • Hope no one shows up with a rifle.

  • well i mean, much harder to get here as well.....

  • Do they hard to get a rifle or is it that they limit the mag size?

  • looking fwd to it..sooner the better

  • They can take my guns AND my preps, when they pry'em from my cold dead hands.......

I got my battle rifle -There gonna have to live thru the battle if they want mine!!!
