They are beautiful! I went there a while ago, in 2000, and only got to see them from far away. Lately, for some reason, I've been having dreams about them.

The horses on the MD portion of Assateague are not sold. There is nothing wrong with the brown horses - they are called sorrels.

I went to the auction last year and bought 2.I do it every year.We get the foals and train them to be school horses.The are really fun to train!! :)

we pulled over cuz of a cute little foal and we were watching the ponies and another car came, the little kid ran out and started petting the foal... the mother wasn't happy lol. we had to drive behind 5 of them until we could pass them safely too that was fun.
