@MissYoucancanon It does reappear somewhat if I don't wear my retainer, but I had a frenectomy done which is supposed to keep it from opening to the same width as it was. So, if it does open, it shouldn't open near as wide, and I can always wear the retainer at night or some days a week.

@CayyyS I was conscious during mine. They numbed everything and it didn't hurt at all. You'll be fine. It hurts afterwards, but if you take some painkillers and sleep it gets better pretty quick. I wish you luck!

By having ym teeths there my upper gum often got irritated and i had to take this flour mouthwash thign that made me nausea :P So its helping too! But yeah, i could live with that, i wanted braces cause i did want to look better :P

@tdottchickk It took a few months for my gap to actually close. yes, I have to wear a retainer, I want to get on put in that just stays in my mouth, but IDK yet. My teeth are good now, but I broke my retainer so after that was fixed they don't stay exactly like they did, but they are still WAY better than they used to be

I am supposed to wear it at least a few nights a week. My teeth are good now, as long as I keep up with the retainer. I want to get a permanent retainer so I don't have to worry about it

Try Trident. It's really easy to chew after the first minute or two. My ortho recommends me gum for some strange reason. But yeah, so I get to chew Trident in class because the orthodontist wrote me a note. You get a sort of reliving pain, not like an 'ow' but like a massage pain.. IDK! But don't do it if your ortho says not to!

Hey, it took about a year for all the teeth to be moved... because once the front gap close, the gaps left from that had to close, and so on... but even after they were all together, I had to have the braces on for a few months

Yea i have bunched up gums in between where my gap once was. I am suppose to get it removed soon. I should be getting the braces off real soon. That is just the start of pain for you. Every time they get tightened it will hurt and the thicker the wire, the more it will hurt. BUT IT IS WORTH IT IN THE END!!!!
