The regeneration is expected to take decades (the games haven't even happened yet for fucks sake) not transform Stratford into Mayfair over the course of its construction. This news report has so many inaccuracies. There is more than one way to access the Olympic Park from Stratford where you do not have to work straight through the shopping centre. Any look at the map on the 2012 park or even when you actually go the site, you can see the many different massive entries to the park. There are wins for the people, the new housing site, the access to the top of the range sporting facilities that will be repurposed for the local areas.

The Olympics was given to the 'City of London' Not London or England or Great Britain but to the City.

The 'City of London' is an independent state within a state the same way the Vatican is independent from Rome.

The funny part is the 'City' who is largely responsible for the financial turmoil this country is in, is making the people of Great Britain PAY for their Olympics.
