One of my fav songs on this album. One of those road songs you just wanna play while driving. Brilliant lyrics & the chorus is phenomenal. To MsGunslinger-thank you so much for the insight to the song's meaning. I was always curious about it. Please forgive my use of the vernacular but if this album doesn't win any grammy's next year, I'll be pissed!!!

Elton has made many good songs the last 10 years, since the songs from the westcoast: Oringinal sin, Ballade of the boy in red shoes, I want love, This train dont stop, American triangle, The bridge, The captain and the kid, I cant keep this from you, its getting dark in here, Keep it a mystery. This is just another good album of several.

You people need to read instead of presuming. Jimmie Rogers is the Father of Country music born in Meridian Mississippi which is my hometown as well. He was the "Singing Brakeman". He is telling us what he "SEES" from the train hauling 60 Tons of steel ( probably from Penn to the west somewhere) which a freight train is completely able to do. Jimmie's wife was named Carrie..Look at the words and they are just about perfect coming from a gay guy from England. Great people and a great song.
