Maybe invest in multi-level block size greenhouses within cities where fruits and vegetables are grown and cultivated...inside or outside of cities..I know Id rather work at this than at a mall, or in an office or in retail..jobs growing food--and since there would be a lot being made then the price for blueberries would fall, and spinach and avacados , let the food cultivation centers make food organically so it is even higher quality.-plus this would make more jobs..

And healthy food is perishable, so you have to eat it up and then get back to the store pretty quick, meaning a lot more bus trips and taxi cab trips to the store. The unhealthy canned and processed foods (the ones with msg,sugar,fat etc..) are very convenient and cheap...I'm trying to figure out.. how could the price of fresh fruits and vegetables get less expensive? If stuff is less scarce it gets cheaper, maybe invest in creating agriculture jobs where more fruit and vegetables are produced?

I agree with you, but I'd like to add that not all areas are capable of growing a diverse supply of fruits and veggies whereas where I live (the central valley) almost anything is possible. I think people just need to look into using their yards and lawns as a place to produce food as opposed to its purpose in making the neighborhood look appealing.

If you think about obesity, think about your childhood. Most public schools offer food high in fat with very little servings of fruit and vegetables. For example, as a child I remember being given cheese quesadillas for breakfast and hamburgers with a container the size of a ritz cracker filled with lettuce and olives for lunch.
