I will grant you that if the situation had been reversed, Hellmuth would've bitched forever. However, it was by no means a bad call by Hellmuth. When a person is lowstack in a heads up situation..they will shove all in with just about any decent hand. Any Ace is good heads up, and since Phil had the other guy well covered, he had even more justification to make the call. Hellmuth made the right play, but he would have bitched to kingdom come if the tables were turned.

The last WSOP event that Phil won was in 2007, it was $1500 no limit texas hold em event. There were 2,628 buy ins and Phil took first place. aside from the WSOP, he also won the first National NBC heads up poker championship in 2005. He continues to make deep runs into the WSOP main event and has strong finishes in many other tournaments. As far as Texas Hold Em goes, Hellmuth is one of the best, and there is no argument there.
