  • Sorry. It's fake. The real ones have a serrated ridge around the label. Still a bargain for 20p though!

  • The non-serrated label ridge doesn't look right to me, Which version of No Feeling does it play? If it was worth 10,000 you wouldn't be handling the way you did so obviously you think it's a boot. For every authentic one there are, what 100 boots? Probably a boot.

  • The original should have the 7284 above the normal Matrix number on side B and a serated edge eg. ribbed border between the run out groove and the label...

  • hi mate.great find even if it is a copy or not.i have a reproduction copy of the single and the writing on the run off groove on mine is printed on,and by the looks of yours its like hand written? is it? .maybe that tells you something.i cant be sure.

  • adding the sound track will help you as it was re recorded for virgin and therefore different. the fact that the sleve may not be right does not matter, sleves in record colections get swapped around all the time.. good luck with it,, I would like to have it but first I need to save up.. all the best, keep us posted

  • did you ever get a result on this mate ?

It looks like a bootleg to me tbh but hard to tell,

Yeah labels look too browny , the sleeve looks incorrect (all the ones Ive seen had a Script type)

Id love to know how you got on....

  • @esheeta Maybe I'll wait until 'The Antiques Roadshow' comes my way and let them have a look at it!

    :-)

  • Take it to a true expert. You can also check the numbers against a Swann Catalog. Good luck!

  • How can I tell if this genuine or a fake?
