  • OMg this is realy sad is he or she getting beter??

  • He was born with no right front leg and the left front leg is deformed. So structurally, he will always be this way. His cart (wheelchair) has been a huge asset to him. He is an awesome, awesome dog who loves to get around. Very inspiring. Thanks for visiting.

  • Update: it is now August. Gizz has put many miles on the cart at the ocean and in parks. He is now "one" with the cart and does amazing! He's fast, funny and full of smiles!

  • Oops..forgot to add..he is going to be 7 this July. We just adopted him in Februray. :)

  • oh i see .then you realy do have to help him with the cart don't want him to be in pain.poor little guy .good to know people like you are out there to take them in and do for them what you do.gizz is a sweet looker and i couldn't help but to make a comment when i saw the vid.

  • i have watched the vid of gizzmo and i realy think he likes it better with out the cart.this is what it looks like to me .how old is he ? i understand he was born this way?

  • He has shoulder problems from supporting all his body weight, and that front leg is deforme. From compensating (birth defect) over time, he now has spine problems. The cart relieves his shoulder of the weight by supporting his torso. He has shoulder weakness, a serious concern. When he's home we don't use the cart, it's just for long walks. So 99% of his time is out of the cart. Without it, he can walk ~1,000 feet and then must stop because of the pain. With it, he can go about 1 1/2 hours.
