Goldeneye 007 - Control 00 Agent 4:19

I've been trying to beat this mission on 00 agent since I was 10. I am now 23 and still fail at the "protect Natalya" part. I can even get there with perfect health and armour every time.

@darklord1776 You're all gonna think I'm joking, but I swear I just beat the mission. What I did was I stood where the uploader stands against the glass looking back and forth. When i saw guys about to come down the stairs I just side-strafed to the base of the stairs to get a better shot and then strafed back the the middle of the room quickly. From there you also have a perfect shot at the guys who break the glass. Natalya never got hit a single time. I still almost died getting to the end.

Games now just don't measure up to goldeneye in the slighest. At the very least in terms of difficulty. Forget cawadoody on the hardest settings with its dumb 'can't see enemies for shit, die almost instantly but respawn at stupidly frequent checkpoints' and all that junk. GE and PD are where it's at, always.

Wow I was blown away at how efficient you was at protecting natalya! And even more so before that when you dealt with those drone guns in the beginning like they were nothing. They are always my biggest threat. How did you manage to dodge their bullets so easily also? is there a trick to it? or just pure luck?

@duhmvilla For the first one you just have to hit it really quick, like if I had missed a couple shots and had to reload I would've gotten hit. For the second one if you stand in that spot it takes quite awhile for it to hit you since you're shielded mostly by walls. And the third one of course I hit before it even pivoted to shoot at me.

YES, YYYYEEEESSSS!!!!!!!! After what must have been 100 attempts, i just barely scrapped through this level! After protecting Natalya, my health was down to two little red bars, but leme tell ya...... I went clutch and somehow sprinted all the way to the elevator. Hardest level on 00 agent I've completed so far. Been there done that CHECK 8D

@mustangGT33 I have 3 semesters (college) of multiplayer under my belt. Played about 8 hrs a day every day. My buddy and I only played LTK, every weapon, random maps, not auto aim. We got rediculous, and found tons of glitches. For examply, playing LTK, we figured out how to get shot and not die, from any gun (including the golden gun). It was silly how good I was at this game. Thanks for bringing back the memories. I may have to post a vid of my LTK glitches we found... rock on!

You just want to be good with taking out guards before they even get down the stairs, and quickly too so that you're only dealing with one at a time.

Problems with Natalya? You said 2 comments ago that you can protect her pretty good.

I wouldn't worry about shooting her unless you're trying for a time under 4:10 or something, as it only saves 2 seconds, if you do it in the beginning, exactly as I did. Do not shoot her in the control room as she won't work any faster there.

I was waiting for my brother because this is SUCH a GREAT acomplishment and my brother has had it for a LONG time and NEVER beat it on SECRET agent (all the way), so I waited for him and when we FINALLY got upstiars (after like a hour (he was finishing his homework) it was froze. I did it again just know and i have to wait 42 minutes because he is working out. It really isn't that hard to me any more. (maybe i can get the cheat on secret agent now, heh, heh)!

Yeah kind of weird how that works on here. Probably because I've had GE vids on here since back in late 06, when there were hardly any GE vids on here, so I've gotten a lot of subscribers and built up lots of views since then, and videos with more views appear more often in searches or related videos, etc. Also my titles are pretty descriptive, and you can see I use a lot of tags.

Well hardly anybody uses an emulator for speedruns this fast anyways (except for TAS of course) so not sure what you're getting at there. Most, including me, use a VCR to record (hook 64 cables into VCR, then connect VCR to TV).

The place I stand doesn't work out for you? That's generally considered the best spot to stand, that way you have both stairs and both glass-break spots covered.

I dare someone to complete this in 3:50, using the PP7 and no other weapon, scoring 90% accuracy (Mostly headshots) and without getting hit by anyone (Note: you can only get hit once to prove that you're not cheating).

3:50 is almost certainly impossible, considering the fastest TAS of this level to this date is 3:57 (by Rising Tempest). Search "Goldeneye Control TAS" and you'll find that vid...it's pretty insane!

Good question, what happened there was I was waiting for obj A to complete (Natalya getting back to her elevator). The fastest it can complete is about 17-18 seconds after her last message disappears, so if you time it from there you'll see I go in the lift after about 18 seconds, and the objective completes during the screen fadeout (i.e. I got lucky, but it's a risk I have to take to get a faster time).

i know its seems like common sense but jus a tip mto any1 having trouble defending natalya,when ur blowing up the mainframes on the first floor place mines on floor beside mainframes so that it doesnt shatter the glass,therefore ul hear the glass break when some1 not on the 2stairs is comin to kill ya instead of jus hearin "james...i"its a frustating level but once ya get it once it gets alot easier i tink.

The only thing I don't understand is why the guns on the ceiling at the start aren't damaging you when you're in plain sight? If you let them get an inch on you you're guaranteed to lose health :S Really impressive speed run tho

The only drone gun that's a problem is the first, yes you have to shoot it pretty quickly to not get hit. The second one will take quite a while to hit you when you're standing where I do, and the third you can shoot before it even has time to turn to face you.
