when using duel swords, keep guard position as an X shape, so this way when the opponint attacks, you can block, then follow threw with a srike, while keeping one sword as a defence wepon
Ummm... No. As a professional Competition swordfighter, keeping an X shape makes it easy to tie up both of your blades leaving you wtihout the opportunity to strike, then so long as the combatant not using the X shape defense has any sort of decent footwork, he will beat his opponent every time.
Agreed with Koolaid n1nja. Crossing your blades is a big no-no in two-weapon fighting. Keep them separated and you can quite easily block and attack at the same time.
Why duel wield? Shortsword would be much more efficient, especially with a extra armoured vambrace.

@Grimmgnom : On the contrary, a nerd would be more likely to know how to fight then these two obviously don't.
