I love the NS400R, an absolute blast to ride... and I'm glad a good number are being preserved now. I must say though, one of the worst-sounding bikes ever!
Just how DID Honda get that weird distant, "thin" sound out of 400 cc of two-stroke engine? The engine has an unusual induction noise under load too. The RD sounds like most two strokes do. Single, twin, triple or four cylinder, they usually sound roughly similar from all manufacturers, just slight "personal" changes.... but the NS...

You need to get a Suzuki RG500 to complete the set. I like the sound of the Honda.
