I find Piranha 2 to be a VERY loose sequel to the original so much so that i think it's just a very different movie called the spawning with the title piranha 2 slapped on the title

I'd forgotten the fish heads song ! A Radio 1 DJ over here used to play it all the time. Flying fish don't really fly, so why would pirahnas fare any better ? Do they fall with style on people to eat them ?

This was my first introduction to the idea that sequels suck. I loved Piranha! When I heard Piranha 2 was coming out, I was so excited. My parents, sister, and I went to see it. It was horrid. There is no way around it; it blew hard. While it is no longer the most disappointing cinematic experience in my life, I still remember the disappointment I felt leaving that theatre. I was heartbroken that it was so terrible.
