Man, it took me ages to find this again. I remember listening to sooo many people play this piece, and the video which stood out to me most was a slower version, which seemed to appeal to me more musically than the other versions. It takes you away from the impressive speed, which most people want, and shows you the details that many people miss out or smudge by playing it too fast. Well played! :D
Well, slow version which you nade is really great, but even so I prefere original. After all this track is about those, who are fighting xD. Am I right?
@ShadowxVincent true, but the Piano arrangement was specifically made for that fight scene, so it's easy to see where somebody would get them mixed up.
Yes, I agree :) This is defiently not something that would play in a battle. BUT! Learning this song myself and knowing just how god damned complex it is, good job!
Good job! the slow tempo adds a bit more feeling to the way that this is played. I've been viewing the way people are playing Tatakau Monotachi because I'm playing it for a concert of nearly 200 on Friday and I'm quite surprised that someone would play it slow enough to show the complexity of this piece. Other than some slight musical errors, this was a great showing of more melodic and technical way of learning Uematsu pieces. Bravo!
and like a couple of people said i enjoyed the slower tempo. for some reason it feels like thats how it should be played, so u can appreciate its true complexity. well done! =]
it's good that you played this song at a slow tempo because you get to observe the notes that are being played and listen to the harmony and the melody that it makes while when it is played to fast you get so attached to the excited emotion of the song and you really cant observe the whole song because you're trying to keep up with the tempo but with the slow you get to listen to all the notes carefully and slowly.anyways good performance =]
Listening to your version makes me think that I needed a newer computer cause it's not powerful enough to run the game. Interpreting music with your own style is good, but this piece is supposed to be played quickly. The word presto on the first page of the sheet music does have a meaning. :)
You handled the beginning of chopin's fantasie impromptu quite well. This piece is not even comparable to that in terms of difficulty. Just keep up the practice. :)
Totally agree with k0reanNamja, with one addendum: too fucking slow man. The piece is a minute and a half shorter played at proper speed. If it's not fast enough, this piece loses meaning and becomes boring.
Altair I do not see a single video from you, so swearing in your comment about how its too slow you must have literally no idea how hard it must be to play this piece at the required tempe. Secondly music is ALL about expression, and how you interprit it, this version is slow it could be cause its still in the works or thats how Jelina wanted to play it. Being a fan is one thing being an arrogant know it all-know nothing is another.
Nice work Jel you made something very complex look smooth :)
lawl u played this piece so blandly. it lacks finese. all u need to do to make this piece perfect is to focous on the dynamics of the piece and put an emphasis on them.
great intonation and rythym for the most part. add dynamics to make it sound even better, and practice moving it up tempo for an even better piece. great job though. keep it up
I gave you five stars, you aspire me. I shall endeavour to learn this fantastic piece from your playing. But, could you tell me, is my 5 octave keyboard enough to play this song? Thank you and nice playing again.
I think it's a great idea to start performing it slow like that. this way you don't jump to a speed you're not ready for and miss notes, you're just building muscle memory and getting all the technic down before you master it at the original tempo. Very nice

the beginning sounds better staccato in my opinion, but good job still.

Your version is soo feminine. It's rather biased to the lovely side though compared to the original.
Lovely as in the compositions of different types of melodies and rhythm.
That's a good interpretation to step up with.
however, the original is certainly the main topic :)

Nice. I like your slow version better than all the other people here who play way too fast and suck. At least you're in control.

a little increase in speed would make it perfect.

I totally agree with finakdarknight, it's not an easy song. I tried playing it by ear and it's impossible to find just the first part of the song -.-
Well played =) 5*

it's about anyone fighting in the game... not just Tifa and Loz. Go play the original and you'll hear this song every single battle just about.

I think you make the piece seem to gentle. I don't really mind the speed but it should be louder and less peaceful, for lack of a better word.

here's something hopefully helpful : metronome, and gradually increase tempo.
overall great expression!
p.s. i know playing at speed gives you cramps in your right arm especially =.="

i think its always better to practise at under tempo first
but only first
eventually you should play the original tempo or it makes no sense learning it
