Hmmm..I kno everyone has different techniques but a spoon?..I'll stick with a lash curler..n putting mascara on a fan brush just isn't as easy as using a wand..a wand gets every hair coated when rolled..not a fan
i find that most asian makeup tutorials are annoying coz not all asians hv this type of eyes.only certain area of asia where the people obviously hv this type of eyes like japan, china,hk,korea & taiwan.look at india or arabs people, they dont hv this small,single-lid eyes & short lashes.they hv big, round beautiful eyes with long curl lashes.
i find that most of asians make up vids are annoying coz not all asians hv this type of eyes.only certain area of asia where the people obviously hv this kind of eyes like japan,hk,china.korea.like india or pakistan, they hv big round eyes with thick beautiful lashes.
i've heard of the spoon trick but never saw it actually being done so that was neat haha and i was a little disappointed to see that the asian model used had double eyelids. I was hoping she would be a monolid girl :\
She's really pretty and Pam is amazing, but I don't feel that the Asian model truly represents a majority of other Asian women in how their eyes look! The model already has double eyelids, so this really isn't going to help monolids!
i would've wanted to see a tutorial on an asian with monolids since those are the hardest to apply shadows on. i have monolids and my eyes are wide-set. i haven't seen a tutorial on that eye shape yet. if anyone knows of a good video please let me know. it will be greatly appreciated. thank you.
What annoys me is when the models they use clearly don't have typical Asian traits. This tutorial is for "Asian Eyes" but she doesn't even have Asian eyes!! Monolids and single eyelids are Asian eyes.
@xkxdestinyx Asian is a very wide and diverse race, more than Black, White, HIspanic and Latin I believe. But it also baffle me how much the media has stereotype the Asian race to the point that now people can only associate Asians with monolid eyes or small double-lid eyes
@MsHimza Hi! The Asian Eye make-up tutorials were Ep 3 and 4 of our Make-up On the Go series on mudblog.net. Ep 1 and 2 are tutorials for blondes/brunettes and can be found here: watch?v=7v79SeYKVSA and watch?v=GyGxevRqEig. The video titles aren't clear and we apologize for the confusion. Thanks for your interest in MUD!
@MyOhMyOHNO I completely agree. I hate the stereotypes that all asians are monolid. My entire family has double eyelids, and so do 90% of my asian friends. I find that most asians that I meet are not monolids.
how is this an asian makeup look? the model is asian but the majority of asian have monolid. i guess ill have to shell out the money to get that surgery...
@manachanchi Hi! Pamela used the following: Natural Lip Pencil, Rose Clay Lipstick and Iced Latte Lip Gloss in the center lower lip for a pouty look. All these products can be found on mudshop.com. Thanks for your interest!
the dark lip color totally ruined it...even more..
maybe this is directed more toward south west asians, but as for north east asians, they usually wear very little makeup during the daytime, focusing more on a flawless, dewy, natural face with minimal mascara, blush, and a lip tint. this is common for most, especially koreans. however, some japanese youth, as well as other asians, love the hime gyaru look, focusing on the eyes, plenty of eyeliner and mascara, then a soft pink lip.
@Angel9837 Hi! It's not a special pre-selected palette that we sell. Pamela just put the individual eye and cheek color pans that she used for this tutorial into an 8-hole palette. You can put one together yourself, choosing the colors you want, at mudshop.com. Thanks for your interest!
Thanks. A good natural look for Asians including mature ones who aren't too mad about wearing pastels all the time. Agree with ParadoxAnonymous; I want flawless skin like that too.
@shiroxchoco These are our MUD Professional Make-up Sponges and are available at shop.mudshop.com/make-up-sponge or our MUD Shops in LA and NY. Thanks for your interest!
My way of getting this same look: MAC Mi'Lady- red on lid up to crease; MAC expensive pink or soft flower or dear cupcake on lid to crease; shroom or skintone color to highlight. Black or brown eyeliner and mascara and voila! Gorgeous.
@hanhtam79 The spoon does not have to be hot. Think of the spoon and lash as a scissor and ribbon effect. The friction made between the finger and spoon curl the lash.

@xkxdestinyx monolids and sigle eyelids are FAR EAST ASIAN EYES.
Not just Asian..i mean, south east Asians have double eye lids. most of them..
WE(i'm also far east asian) are the only race in this entire Earth that have such rare face feature (monolids).
Black,White,Arabs,South east asians, Latin,Hispanic etc.. All of them have double eye lids
while only east asian people don't have double eyelid. it's quite funny.haha
