Well you're partially correct. We cannot blame Harper for a Global Economic Meltdown. We can, however, question his honesty and judgment. We know that Harper lied to us during the election campaign as this video highlights (entirely factual) and had Harper been in office from 2001 to 2006 we would have had bank mergers (and less regulations as he called for as opposition leader) and we'd be in the same mess the US are now. So quit brown nosing the guy.. he is an idiot.

Exactly, Libs like to forget about the CPP debacle. They also like to ignore that we were in a worldwide bull market when the libs ran surpluses. They also like to ignore that virtually every medical breakthrough is made in the US where the medical system is privatized. Also, Harper will never dismantle our National Healthcare system, I don't know where they are getting their info from, but I would welcome private enterprises being allowed in so those with money can get quality care.

I'm all for a partially privatised system where the more wealthy can go ahead and PAY for their services, without preventing the poor for accessing public/free healthcare.

Yes Americans have more top-of-the-line equipment but most of their citizens can't afford the services anyways. The very smallest of operations are several thousand dollars. I can only name a few friends/acquaintances who could actually afford such a pricey system.

We already have a privatised system - you think that MPs and Senators wait 6 months for an MRI or a year and a half for "elective" surgery like a hip or knee replacement? Long wait times sometimes kill, and ALWAYS detrimentally effects a patients quality of life - for the rest of their life. Noone has ever been refused needed medical care in the US because of a lack of medical insurance, despite what you might have learned from Michael Moore.

Actually those quotes are also from the election campaign, where Haper and Deficit Jim claimed there was no recession, we wouldn't run a deficit and it was a good time to buy stocks ( the market dropped 2000 points in the next two weeks).

We all knew what was going to happen during the campaign. How can you claim otherwise? I knew what was going to happen, the NDP and Liberals knew. Harper said they were lying, event though he had even more information than them... he should have known.

The economy crashing was well known for a long time, I seen it coming and im no expert. Anybody paying even the least amount of attention seen this coming.
