one time we had just finished taking pictures and there were a ton of guys running around playing keepaway without pads. Suddenly, my mom yells at me to put my helmet on. i groaned but i did it anyway. Five minutes later a kid gets pegged in the mouth and loses his tooth. And then you just slowly see everyone else sorta migrate towards where their pads were. A good learning experience.

I agree with Quint on Parent's attitude, every coach youth to high school knows that the parent's poor attitude is the worst part of coaching. #2 Quint is right about the helmets, kids your on the field throwing around put them on, I had to yell at my kids this spring when one player through a ball and almost hit this kid in the side of the head. I disagree about what is worn for fall ball who cares if it's a game jersey or a pinnie who cares!

Just got back from a U-15 tourny in NC. Most of the parents were pathetic. Sure cheer when your kid/team gets a goal or a gb or a nice hit but man these parents were cheering every little thing. "great stick check, awsome running, johnny." what is this AYSO?? 99% have never played the game!!! And when your team is up 11-1 in the 4th quarter... Relax and act like you've been there before.

one time we beat this team in double overtime. at the end of the game i cross checked this kid but as i was doing it he fell and i actually cross checked his stick.(hard to explain). after the game the other teams parents ran on to the field and started screaming at the refs. one dad actually followed him to his car. we then destroyed the same team later in the season and didnt hear one word from the parents
